To me that’s a beautiful sight. Haven’t even seen a 4 barrel in probably 20 + years. In my youth I use to work on and build high performance muscle cars. Many memories of rebuilding 4 barrel carbs (and mostly not having left over parts:rofl:).

Beautiful sunset pic. Only thing missing is a fishing rod with a line in the water.

    Afternoon all:

I have always known about that small screw in the base, but never messed with it not knowing exactly how to set it
I've been doing a lot of research on the Holley carbs, the one thing I found interesting is the roughly .020 or square adjustment of the T slot on the primary's, then go to that little screw hidden in the base and adjust the secondaries for idle and try not to touch the primary idle screw for idle once it is set, if you do need to tweek the primaries, the secondary should also be adjusted by the same. I have always used the primary idle screw to adjust idle speed, which would either open or close the primary T slots a bit, never seemed to have a problem. :notsure:
I figured a few on here would know some of the ins and outs of a Holley, by doing what you did with a machine screw, and like I'm doing now, makes life a whole lot simpler than having to remove the carb every time in order to make any adjustment on the secondaries. Since I had to drill out the seized adjustment screw, I lost the setting that it was at, so now I need to get the new screw set to an in the ballpark of the proper setting and can easily adjust it to where it needs to be.

Sheesh. Had to pry the board off to get past that broken, corroded one.

    Hey all!
Just checking in after checking out for months.
Moved into the new place 40 miles North of the old place and the Tacoma got a workout for almost 4 months.
I NEVER want to do another self-move.

Tons of work done at the new place :spending: and I'll feel relieved (as well as my wallet) when the old place is sold.

Over the course of the Winter, my Nova had a re-do. It's my retirement gift to myself and was earmarked before the house purchase.
The 40 year old Black Metallic Lacquer job was failing and always wanted to bring her back to the original Code 75 Cranberry Red.
New paint cured for months and the Rally stripes went on little over a week ago.

Hit a local show Sunday for the Red Phase debut. Think it's the first time I took a break in months.
    Pretty happy with the results.
    @Tacoma Mike
All the goobers in the stripes cooked out over the week. All good now.

Looks darn good to me! Glad your move is done too. Much as we think we'd like somewhere else, we don't want to MOVE!

It's amazing how much crap is accumulated after being somewhere for 25 years.
AND this is after I started flipping stuff out for a couple of years to get ready. :goingcrazy:

Evening folks! Heading out before daylight tomorrow to fish with a bud who is a member of a private fishing club. Hope to get some pictures to post of some fish. Have to fish early because it will be into the low 90s tomorrow! Yikes! Nearly 20* above normal!
Have a good night. I likely will sleep a bit restless with anticipation of catching a good bass, bluegill, wiper, etc.

Just not my week, month, year......

The new LED fixture arrived today, and will be returned. "Wires are wires" I believe I said. Not if the cable is FOUR conductor from transformer control to the light. Didn't mention that. Didn't have online instruction either, and it appears that the LED plate that mounts to the niche cover WANTS to be installed in the old shell! "Seal it". To what? No instructions. Just going to buy a 120V shell, and another LED bulb. Sheit.

I have diving board bolts on the way, but that corroded one was ridiculous. Here's some pics after I pried it off. The pointy piece in the glass lens is the "bottom" of the bolt. The pile of rust on the ground is what I pounded out of the hole with a screwdriver. The beautiful "rosette" rust (NEVER seen anything like that before in my life), and the part with no thread in the glass is the top. I had to cut the "rosette" with a grinder cut off, then rotate with vice grips from the top.

Yesterdays internet? Spectrum proved they have speed. I had to change a check a bunch of stuff, and installed a spare Mesh as a new gateway. Internet? Yes. TV. Assorted important stuff like thermostat.
Solar; not communicating, and my installer is now out of business
    Wall switches; mostly working
    Blink; still missing one camera
    Simplisafe; working without cameras
Temperature sensors; 2 of 3 still out.

Temp stayed 99, with index of 117. And so it goes....

LED bulbs industry is a mess to its own! There’s no standardized specs on a lots of LED component; I bought some LED G8 bulbs to replace my halogen bulb. After a week waiting, the so call G8 bulb that I received were much longer than my old one, they wouldn’t fit to the under cabinet puck light housing. :annoyed:

Raw bulbs do vary. I was planning (on this third attempt) to just replace my R40 shape with a screw in in a new housing. Thursday, a fully assembled puck - mounted to the niche frame - arrives. So.....
    :fingerscrossed:

Replacing household has gotten much easier. When replacing them, I usually take a pic of the bulb, and note the bulb size, then shop. If it's odd. I do the match at Amazon, where it's far easier to replace what doesn't match than at a store.
