    Paying it forward!
I got it as a package deal B7100 log splitter and scrape blade for the right price $1000.00.
Put another $1000.00 into the B7100 as in tires/tubes new hydraulic lines for the FEL and had a guy go through it to make sure it was good to go for another 30 years.

Friend of mine bought this trailer on an online auction and ask me to take the hitch off and start over. It was too high and too long. Apparently pulled a race car on it and probably pulled it with a truck with a service bed. Almost done with it.

They should definitely last longer than that. Many hundreds of hours....

    Do they have grease fittings?

If it is a consumer grade machine the bearings are quite easy to change.

You don't need to remove the spindle housing from the deck.

The nut on the pulley side holds the assembly together, remove it and the pulley, then the shaft drops out.

2 sealed bearings, standard sizes, available at any industrial supply, AMZ, etc.

I probably change mine every 2-3 years.

The consumer grade machines have a grease fitting on the underside of the deck... o_O

There is a giant void in the housing that the grease pumps into.
If the void is full of grease the spindle gets very hot.
The bearings are sealed as well.

I said to heck with greasing them, 4 new bearings are less than $20.

Higher spec machines have a grease fitting on the top of the spindle which is hollow and has ports near the bearings - this style I grease regularly.

Have you taken the belt off and rotated them by hand? There should be no noise and feel smooth.

It may be a flat spot in the belt is what is giving you the vibration.

I don't think any of the CC mowers have greasable spindles anymore.

If they do, they still build the spindles in stalling bearings with shields. The shields keep grease in, but they also keep grease out.

If I do a rebuild that has replaceable bearings and a grease zerk ,the 1 st thing to do is to remove the shield so grease can get to the bearings.

With that said, the spindles are so cheap, it makes little sense to rebuild them. New spindle to your door is $40.

Bearings are $3, but you have to spend 45 minutes taking the spindle apart.

Don't we all love our disposable society?

My ZT is a 2006 - it has the grease fittings under the deck... :annoyed:

Usually I've bent or broken something on the deck (again  ) that I have to remove it anyhow so the bearings aren't much extra work.

My commercial Hustler with the 60" deck has the grease fittings under the deck. I sharpened the blades a couple weeks ago and greased it (not that it did any good). Had to change one of the fittings cause half of it was missing. It has an 8mm thread
