Just got my first bike in probably 15 years a couple months ago.

Went the cheap route with a gt avalanche from dicks. Thought I would start looking through here to start learning more about bikes.

So far I have done raceface grips, reverse pedals, WTB seat, WTB trail boss tires, and a wolf tooth 32t chain ring to go 1x9. Any feedback is appreciated, I feel like the bike can handle anything I am able to do on it.

I did the massanutten hoo ha enduro yesterday, such an awesome race! For some reason turnout was lower than last year but this should be a race more people are doing. 2 climbing stages and 4 shuttle stages (2 of which had like 10ish minute pedals). Came out to 30 miles and 5500 feet of elevation which included shuttles. Each stages 2-6 had about 1000 feet of descent over 10ish minutes on average. Super long stages and the first 500ft off the mountain were super technical with the rest being quite pedally. Overall it was a great time even though I was recovering from some sort of illness last week. IMG_6832.jpg 1C58D6CB-7568-45AA-8ADB-2D005D21A2FC.jpg IMG_6834.jpg

Did some trading, but I think my bike tool box is too nice now. I’m going to put it up for sale, if it sales awesome, if it doesn’t I’ve got an awesome box.

It’s a Snap-On 84 epiq with power top and hutch.

Anyone have a recommendation for a fat tire frame? Think I have enough parts laying around to pretty much cover everything except maybe a crankset. It would basically see beach cruiser and maybe tooling around in the neighborhood duty.

Anyone got any tips on getting the air cover thing off a fork? I must have tightened it a bit too tight last time. I 3d printed something but messed up the dimensions so it doesn't fit. I'll have to modify it a bit, but was wondering if anyone else had any tips. Just trying to let a little bit of air out.

whack it on top to try and shock the threads a little with a screwdriver handle or something. Prob wont help, but takes 5 seconds so why not.

I've been testing out a gopro/camera mount/holder I made and I'm finding it is super good for the gopro with the USWE packs. Kind of cool seeing something I made actually working. Anyways, here most of stage 1 at the massanutten hoo ha enduro, I recorded all the stages but somehow forgot to press record at before dropping and had to wait until a chill spot to hit record haha.

Dang it, just can’t help myself. When I gotta break a screw loose that’s been torqued to 25 nm I need them long ratchets. Guy was selling all this at around 40% list.

Also new morning hobby, it’s surprisingly easy to make drinks better than most cafes you go to. I can’t do art yet though lol

    I got a Profitec Go and it’s a hoot.

Making lattes is addicting, not even including consuming them. I got a manual espresso maker and made like 4 in like 20 minutes just trying to get the milk frothiness right. I ended up getting some decaf for testing haha.

I’d love a regular espresso machine but we don’t have enough space unfortunately. My pour over station takes up most of it haha

I'm not big into pour over, yet that is. Maybe one day.
I love the espresso machine though, it's so quick to go from a shot to steaming milk. Having a display for the brewing temp is awesome.
I've got a bottomless portafilter on the way to fit a better cup size and see the prettiness of flow.

It's definitely clean, some of those bits will probably be brand new 10 years from now.
