Much appreciated but I’m not looking to spend that kind of cash. Aiming for some sub $100 boards that someone has collecting dust, just so my little dude can climb into the backseat on his own.

Planning...suspension, front slimline bumper, winch, full skids, 2" lift, SCS Ray 10's, Pizza cutters, Power Tray, Switch-Pro, Alu-Cab Contour Canopy.
Need some rock sliders and want to support a local shop. Thinking Wescott. Any other good choices? I know there are a lot of Phoenix based fabs.

People are always selling their Predator steps. Not sure about $100 though ...

I had predator steps on the truck when I bought it but they kind of suck as a step if I'm being honest. Those are pretty popular though and sell for a few hundred bucks. The less desirable flat and wide ones are harder to come by though, I'm finding. Probably just not as many in circulation so to speak.

I just took mine off also. Completely non functional for me, I would just trip over that step all the time. Wasn't placed right for me, plus I need rock sliders instead.

Under the heading of "if it's stupid but it works, it isn't stupid" have you considered making a little step stool?

If I tried to actually use it as a step, the stepping area was so small that it ended up being more of a chore than anything. The wide and flat ones aren't as sexy but so much easier to use, I had some on my Tundra.

Nah, this isn't a problem that I need a solution to, I just pick him up for the time being. I just thought it would be nice to give him some more independence so he can climb in and out on his own, like he used to in my Tundra.

How ‘bout a nice airbag suspension so you can lay frame when little dude needs to get in and out, and you can pump it back up for normal driving??

Seems like too much work. Maybe train him in gymnastics so he can just jump in?

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.

You guys are obviously overcomplicating this.

Make it wheelchair accessible so he can just walk on to the platform and get lifted in. :burp:

Interesting ... REI has Garmin InReach Mini 2 on sale for $300 instead of normal $400. Tempting ...
