In snow earlier this year, sounds of the same plonking and shaking. In slow speed and wet surface just to get that 4H engagement once a month per owner's manual, the same as well.

Sounds like your Tacoma was a POS. I wouldn’t buy another one either.

one question, does the colorado come with push button start and touch door handle to lock.
as far as the mirror size i think my tacoma door mirrors are to big, along with the A pillar creates blind spot, IMO

last, it does not have a huge giant screen on the dash!

Only GM product I ever owned was my 09 Corvette and it was an awesome car! I hope that Colorado treats you well OP.

I have a looooong time left in my Tacoma only have 90k+ mi. But, those new Colorado's would get me into a GM dealer for at least a test drive.

In my basic contractor-spec WT trim, there is a push button start but no door handle touch to unlock. Tailgate can be locked from remote but there is no keyhole on the tailgate. In Trail Boss there is a keyless entry by just touching the door handle, but I don't think I need it and Trail Boss is just a bit too wide. The touchscreen is pretty good -- not too big.
I waited for 24MY Colorado for them to work out the kinks from 23MY first year, and 24MY comes with high-output tune 310hp/430lbft and full-size instrument panel

2020MY C8 Z51 was the car that changed my perspective about domestic brand and why I was cross-shopping with Colorado. That Vette is now four years old and still doing well even after tracking it a lot and winter driving on snow tires.
My GM tech is the real MVP in why I decide to go with another GM product. I can take my Vette in and he will do track prep work and alignment, he even offered some suggestions like "why don't you go sit in the car while I'm doing alignment so you get correct corner weight" -- I already learn something new about L3B engine in my truck from him.

My 09 had the LS3 motor and it was a freaking beast! I may or may not have had it hitting 140 mph with plenty of pedal left. :)
