Oh I was talking best case scenario.

But yeah, that last statement is absolutely true.

Imagine buying another house right now? Fuck that.

This all depends on how much is left on your current truck .. if it’s a lateral move go for it … but if u are extending out your payments . I would say no unless u are having issues with current setup . if u have little left on the current truck ..pay it off .. keep driving it and put the extra payments aside to put down on a new truck when the time comes . Just my 2 cents . But it’s your life do what makes u happy .

Get some quotes to paint that sucker, if the color bugs you that much.

Aside from that, you'd be insane to spend money trade your truck for a functionally identical one that is 3 years old, and start a new loan for 5 more years at the same payment you've been making since 2020.

My opinion, if you can't afford it outright, then you shouldn't be making such expensive "want" decisions. (As in, you clearly don't need to purchase a vehicle at this time).

And if anyone wants to talk about how you shouldn't judge people for their financial situation, this whole exercise is a way to make or break a financial situation.

This for sure!! My financial advisor is fond of saying "many financial decisions are emotional". This one certainly feels that way.

But if you have a solid emergency fund and are saving aggressively for retirement and this move won't put either in jeopardy, then why not.

I have all those, and have a house, pension, profit sharing, 401k, etc. Not rich, but not struggling and I can be a bit foolish with my spending money. This right here being a prime example.

Seems a bit nutty to me...

    Because THIS^

    My 2 bits...

See quote above. It is not the payment... It is the 60 MONTHS! - That represents a LOT of interest! (You know, interest is also paid with real money!).

I see your point in the miles. And the depreciation - But it seems you still owed a lot of $$$ on the 2020...

Put actual DOLLARS down on paper. It may not seem so appetizing.

For that commute, I'd consider an econobox. Your fuel cost must be be crazy $$... (tally-in your depreciation due to mileage too) - Or an electric if you can do that. (Free fuel if you have solar). Your commute is expensive!

Also - Cavalry Blue vs. AG; Two of my favorite colors. All things being equal, I'd stay with Cav Blue. it is Rarer AND although I love Army Green - the Toyota AG is a bit too dark.

MOST importantly; you'd be downgrading from the Off-road to the sport.:crapstorm:

    :notsure:

The crazy thing is not keeping both. Technically a more sound decision than trading one for another.
