Test drove an automatic tonight and ordered a TRD Offroad 6M (Canada). He's entering it in the system tomorrow, so will find out how long I'll have until I can put my Sierra for sale. I plan to have them switch the crappy stock tires for BFG AT KO2, LT285/75R17 LT285/70R17.

Let us know how it is. I'm open to hearing different opinions about the 4th gen manual especially compared to a 3rd gen manual (if you drove one before)

I'm not currently in the market for one, but I'm still curious about that truck

 

I will only be able to compare it to a 2012 Xterra Pro4x MT or an automatic 3rd gen Tacoma (friend's).

 

So being it’s an order can u still back out of it once it arrives since u have not driven one with a manual if u don’t like it ?

Well, it arrived, but in black instead of charcoal. Picking it up tomorrow morning. Had the dealer install a brake controller and Predator steps.

Where in Canada and how much was it if you don’t mind me asking.

 

Saint John, NB. MSRP + 800$ dealer robbery + 440$ for brake controller installed, + 1200$ for Predator steps, plus muffler tip and tailgate letters. I didn't ask for the muffler tip and letters, so more dealer robbery.

No. I don't know what the premium package is, but I didn't get it.

 

Do you have dual climate control, rear sliding window, hood insulation or cooled seats?

 

No dual-climate control, I didn't check for hood insulation and didn't notice cooled seats. There's a rear sliding window though.

 

Yeah then no premium package. Sliding rear window is manual right?

 

Don't know. Only test drove it on Monday and picking it up tomorrow. I didn't pay much attention to the rear window.

 

There’s only 2 options for MT in Canada. Base model off-road, or sport+. Can’t get dual AC, the big screen or leather with the 4th gen MT in Canada. Not sure why Toyota always limits our options so much compared to the US.

Congrats, what were your thoughts on the automatic? Have you driven 3rd gen tacoma auto to compare?
