I bought a new 2023 at the end of last year and am finding the touch screen to be very laggy/slow, particularly after the truck has been started. For instance, if I press on Audio, it takes 5 seconds to go to the next menu (Source), and another few seconds to respond to that selection.

My 2019's touch screen had no issues with response time.

Anyone else encounter this? Any fixes?

Mine is usually a bit slow to respond when I first turn the truck on, but after the initial start up it runs smoothly.

Have you checked to see if it needs to be updated?

Slow at startup. Once vehicle wakes up it works just fine.

The infotainment is not a strong suit in this truck

It also looks like it came straight out of the 2010s. As expected with Toyotas (except the current generation ones)

    Honestly,

Ford has gotten the UI down. I tried their infotainment system on the ‘23 F150 and ‘24 Expedition and it’s one of the smoothest infotainment systems I’ve ever experienced

Although the infotainment on the new generation Toyotas is also good based off my experience with the ‘24 Prius

Good to know I'm not the only one experiencing the laggy performance! I guess I'll just deal with it...but it feels like I'm trying to load a video on Windows 3.11!

True the Ford UI is nice but Fords are also notorious for failed APIMs (Accessory Protocol Interface Module) across their entire product line. That module is a key element of their display screen and generally costs around $1300-1500 to replace. My brother has had to replace his on a 2012 Edge and also on his 2019 F150. F150 forums are full of posts about failed APIM's even on new vehicles, multiple failures on the same vehicle and such. They're nice when they work however.

Have you tried unhooking the Negative battery cable for 30 seconds to see if there is any improvement?
