Y'all a bunch of shit drivers? USAA has been great for me. Tacoma, wife's Audi, and my kei truck for $260 a month. Only ever had one claim. Love tapped my neighbors SUV coming out of my driveway. No damage to my Tacoma, and they took great care of my neighbors, including a nice loaner Tahoe. My rates didn't budge.

My brother is an agent for Farm Bureau. My insurance was cut in half compared to State Farm.
    2001 Silverado liability
    2005 GX470 full coverage
    2016 Miata full coverage
Full coverage includes uninsured, underinsured, $250 deductible and $5k med pay and it's $170 for all 3.
It was $86 with 3 vehicles when I had my 1999 Miata and not the 2016 Miata. I do have homeowners too so there is a discount. Homeowners was very slightly more expensive compared to State Farm but I was paying $160/month for the 3 cars before.

Boys, don't ever let her tell you that "a 4 inch stroke isn't that much".

how much travel are you planning to have, and how much of that will be up travel?

i have zero doubts that the 2.5'' was the way to go over the 2'' for my application, however i may even have to shorten these to about 3'' of travel depending on what my final numbers look like. putting everything together that i've read has suggested that your bumps take up no more than 40% of your up travel. so as long as i have at least 10'' of compression, i shouldnt have to shim these. with an open cage back-half, i'll have all the room in the world, but with the 4-runner, packaging will be a lot more important, so a 2'' body and/or shorter maximum stroke may be beneficial to you.

With the rear long travel I have now it's somewhere around 13" of travel and the front long travel I'm planning on going with will be about the same

So say 6" of that is compression, you'd be looking at 2.5" maximum bump travel to keep it from acting like a pogo-stick all the time. You could go with a 4" stroke and shim it down if you want to future proof for more travel, or go with a 2" stoke an not only not have to touch the internals, but also not have to worry about the extra space a 4" would take up under the cab.

You can get away with a little extra bump travel by playing with fluid weights and PSI, but you'll be trading off for performance on really hard hits where you actually need the bumps.

We have had USAA for a long time. We also have them for our home owners insurance. Its more expensive but they give you new replacement cost instead of a depreciated value. I hit a deer and they were on Post checking out the truck within a few hours... Then the money was in my bank account the next day. Sometimes you get what you pay for. Speaking of.insurance... Y,all should checknyour medical coverage and see what your catastrophic maximum is. Its important when you hit it multiple years in a row. Lol

First cook on the Big Green Egg last night. That thing is finicky trying to get and maintain a certain temperature. Barely opening or closing either vent causes a big temperature swing. I guess I'm used to the ease and simplicity of my Masterbuilt. I'm not going to stand outside getting eaten alive by skeeters trying to get it to stay at a certain temperature.
It boils down to 3 choices:
    1. Sell the BGE after spending $250 on parts and accessories (no doubt I can recoup that) and fix my Masterbuilt with upgraded parts
    2. Sell the BGE and Masterbuilt and buy an newer Masterbuilt and start using lump instead of briquettes
    3. Keep the BGE and spend $300 to buy a blower setup for like the Fireboard that will regulate the temperature for me

I've done a slight amount of research on blowers and it seems the Fireboard is the best. But need more research to see how to work it. And that BGE will outlast a Masterbuilt for sure.

what do y’all do in Charleston? Just curious. got a list of recs

downtown, market, palms, hole in the wall best food, shrimp and grits, etc

I like deep/open ocean swimming but don’t know about sharks here. How easy it is to fight a Tacoma sized great white barreling towards at 30mph or if they gang up
Maybe save my fins and dive mask for the pool

visiting from NC, like it so far

You just looking for water sports type stuff? Charleston scuba would be a good start for finding open ocean diving/swimming. Tons of fishing guides if you’re looking for that sorta thing. My neighbor runs charters and seems to have almost all return customers if you want his name and number.

beaches are always good for people watching, get there early for parking and you’ll be fine.

golf at the municipal course on James island or one of the fancier ones like kiawah.

anything in particular that you’d be interested in?

edit: Charleston scuba may be no more. Google diving in Charleston and it’ll take care of a replacement.

There are sharks everywhere. Brackish water has bull sharks and there have been rumors of the bull sharks getting up into lake moultrie and lake Marion. One of my friends was a lifeguard at Folly Beach and said bump and bites happened multiple times a week. I was riding hurricane surf off the coast of folly on a stand up jetski and hit a shark when I landed a jump of a nice wave. Never went back offshore there again. Riding with the dolphins was fun, but I'd rather keep my limbs intact. Lakes have nice size Gators that aren't scared of much. When we fell off the jetskis they would pop up and watch us swim. Had a few 10 ft or bigger gators within 20 feet of me. Kind of a "choose your own adventure" situation when it comes to wildlife.

probably one of 3 weirdos running a wakeboard boat in charleston. without fail, anytime an out-of-town guest is about to hop in for a pull they ask "are there sharks here". my answer is always... if this water were clear, no one would ever swim in it.

I haven't been to Charleston in years but it use to be one of my favorite places to visit. I've had some really good food on shem creek. I don't remember the names of places though. Riding my bike and or skateboard around the battery at sunrise has been some of my favorite memories. The angel oak on John's island is pretty.
