Yeh it turned out to not be too bad. $800ish bucks in parts and another $400 in labor. They had to order a new shift lever for a couple hundo, but the most expensive was a handful of pieces to rebuild the speedometer. Had to pay for an hour of labor to diagnose, then three hours to get it all put back together. She runs and rides pretty dang great now. The only thing I still gotta get button back up is the handlebars. They’re a little bent on the left side. Not enough to really affect riding, but just enough you notice it when sitting on the bike.

I’m actually hanging around my local bike shop right now so they can do another check over it for stuff like fluids and chain and all that before I ride down to Florida for a club camping trip this weekend. Yeh I know I could probably do it myself, but being this new to riding I’d rather have some fellas I trust make sure it’s tip top before I’m off out of town on a 400+ mile road trip by myself.

It took long enough but I own stands finally!!
Set of older Pit Bulls in decent shape that I got for $75 - really worth the investment!

On a side note have almost put 1000 miles on the ZRX in just about 3 months and man what a fantastic machine! Research really pays off because this thing is everything I expected and more.

I owned one for a while. You’re right it’s an awesome machine. So much torque. The only thing it needs is FI but other than that it’s a ripper.

390miles yesterday, ALLLLL TWISTIES, left at 630am got back at 5, had maybe 1-1.5hrs of stopped time off the bike the rest riding.

Went east to west over Ebbetts pass, simply stunning 1.5lane road that was very remote.

    South to Sonora

Then west to east over Sonora pass....

    Oh. My. Word.

Sonora pass was the most beautifully scenic, perfectly paved, awesome rollercoaster like undulating, banked turned road I have ever ridden. From BIIIIIG fast paced sweepers to flip flop tight back to back turns and elevation gain / loss that made you think you were on a flight.

Good for YOU!. My son lives in Markleeville. I've been out on his Funduro while visiting. What an area!

Yup passed through markleeville twice yesterday once each direction on my loop.

Did monitor pass yesterday too which was a beautiful road as well. My gosh that area has some world class roads.

Oh and to top it all off I got an uninterrupted pass of the overlaying Twisties just past emerald bay going south bound on the western side of Tahoe. During morning sunrise, running that ridge facing out to the entire lake was other worldly

    Sounds like an awesome ride!

I need to figure out if I'll have time to rent a motorcycle when I'm out there in November.

so question for those that ride into work.

at my work nobody leaves helmets out on the bikes we bring them inside and set them near the turn styles or at our desks (if it has no blue tooth or mic added to it) ive never had an issue with it before but i guess someone decided to be a dick and threw a backpack and jacket on mine and shoved it out of the way... so i grabbed my helmet and moved it.

bored at work and just wondering if any of you have had anyone mess with your helmet at work or be careless at them.

We have a locker room at my work and all employees have lockers. I put my helmet in my locker. We do have a couple of other guys here who just leave their helmets on a table in the break room that is never used and no one bothers them. Small company, roughly 30 people, so we all know who has what and where they keep it.

ya we have some questionable ones tbh lol
all our lockers are inside the inner area of the building so no electronics. plus they are like high school lockers so no helmet is fitting in that haha sadly its a very large company so loads of people. like 5k people in this facility so loads of people we do have cameras up there but some people are just assholes tbh lol
