Haha. As a bare minimum, I think I need to get a stormtrooper figurine to put on the dash like Jeep Peeps and their clutter they put on their dashboard lol

25 MPG on the highway (interstate). 62-65 MPH…about 22-23 on your typical state route highway / country road…50-55 MPH…

Here’s from my last fill up. Mostly stop and go driving with a bit of highway. I’m very happy with the mpg in the new taco.

lol what? I get over 27mpg on the highway driving 75-80.

Sounds like a lot of salty people on here that can’t afford the new taco so all they do is try and make shit up about it.

Whenever I hear people talk about getting abnormally high gas mileage, I think of my sister's first Ford Raptor. No one believed she could cruise at 55-60 and get 21 mpg with her 6.2 v8 when they were all getting 15-17 max. She did this for 8500 miles. Then the motor ate itself alive. New motor, yeah, 15-17 mpg. That truck was a lemon and later replaced. 15-17 mpg on the replacement. Something was seriously wrong with that first engine, but it got awesome mileage until it didn't, hahaha.

Multiple states in the US have 80 mph speed limits.

Everyone claiming mid-20s gas mileage so far has stated they are getting that while running 55-65 mph, and typically with cruise control.

You're getting better than a similar sized crossover while going 80 mph? And way better than stated highway numbers? Color me dubious.

‘Yeah…as soon as you go over 65, it seems to drop pretty quickly. Anyone claiming high 28 or higher is in a 2 wheel drive model. I also think some see 28 mpg on the screen for 2.3 seconds while they coast down a hill thinks that’s their actual average mpg. LOL…

Guess it all depends on your driving style and where you drive. I do all state roads and hover 25mpg. Hell, I can get 44mpg out of a non hybrid Camry, which is over EPA. I've gotten a lighter foot these days.

Yeah the new Taco definitely does a tad better than the EPA estimates on the sticker…I’m happy, seeing it’s a 4WD truck….25 MPG on the highway is more than I expected….especially with 33” tires…

About 3/4 of the trip was highway. Speed was between 72-80 using adaptive cruise control. I’m not the only person getting better then the epa estimate.

Nice. Even more impressive you got it with adaptive cruise control; mine is murder on gas mileage.

47.3 miles in 58 minutes is an average speed of 48.9 mph, not 72-80 mph. Not doubting you hit in that range, just doing some math.
