None personally, but did hear on news about small tornado that touched down in Carroll and caused some property damage. A person at work told me another hit Poolesville area… was told it went through a house and some people were seriously hurt.

 

I did see some of the coverage about them. And a lot of people getting stuck in the flood waters

My truck is still like new (28K+ miles) and I'm gonna keep taking good care of her.

Ain't no way I'd buy a new vehicle right now.

So our AC is down. House wasn't getting to temo, and wife found a puddle under the AC today. Sounds like it might have been condensation on the outside of the unit in the basement, but we haven't had the AC serviced since we moved in. Sounds like it might be time to charge it.... Our people are coming out tomorrow afternoon.

 

While you have people already coming out, you can check the outside unit and see if the coils are packed with dirt and stuff. Maybe try spraying them out? Or freon is low but that’ll cause the unit to freeze up at the inside coils, lines.

 

I'm assuming it's low freon - outside unut doesn't have much going on there for dirt or debris. I don't know our system well emough to have conveyed to wifey how to find and check the coils for freezing since she found it while I was at work today

 

Oh man! That sucks about AC, John.

Hope it's a simple fix that's not too expensive.

Totally agree… I’m paying $550 monthly for the ‘20 Taco (a bit over to pay off faster) and she’s got 24k on the clock. Less than 2 years to go. But I have been playing around with Tundras recently…

 

I made a similar mistake a few years back… never realized it, but when cutting the yard I was blowing clippings into the unit. Unit aounded odd, so one day I took the outer cage off and exposed the coils and fins… completely packed!! Took a shop vac and cleared them out and then hosed them out. It was crazy how bad they were. Can’t believe it didn’t burn up!!

 

Yeah same thing here, I always assumed it would be a bad idea to hose off the HVAC unit that’s outside until the repair dude recently told me you’re supposed to do it frequently to keep yard debris out of the unit.
