    I think it's the oldest tree on the east coast. Really cool to visit I've been there a few times.

    edit: there are cyprus trees much older than the angel oak on the east coast. still a really cool tree.

    That's a bummer. I have thought about many times taking my kayak to the lighthouse at folly Beach. Just never committed to it. It doesn't look at far though. Haha

    Yep large oak tree where the branches come down touch the ground and rise back up. It’s impressive.
    I’ve thought about the same thing. It’s really close so I think even with a fast tide you could manage there and back fairly easily. I’d do it during the week to avoid the inevitable boat traffic.

    Ohhhhhhhhhhh we’re tracking now haha. We’ve been there a few times. We use that road as a maybank/main road intersection bypass when traffic gets bad so we at least drive by it a few times a week.
