2024 Tacoma Engine failure

Yeah, the split crankcase, then high coolant temp story seemed a little suspect, but then that there were two more blown up taco's at the same dealership does not pass the smell test. Guaranteed someone from corporate is monitoring this board and has contacted the dealership to see if it is true. I wouldn't want to be making a story like this up. But maybe it is true.

 

So, dealer claims to have three at the dealer. Umm, no.

 

If the story is true and there are three Tacomas at Toyota of Stockton with engine failures, I would hope Corporate already knows about it. If the story is not true, that’s when Corporate should be contacting the dealer.

 

I also think it’s a troll, and as for the Tundra engine failures, I called the second highest volume Toyota dealer in Canada today and asked the service department if they had had any late model Tundras come back to them with the blown engine and they said not a single one but they acknowledged they knew about the problem and recall.

Tundras have nothing to do with a loaner. They can loan you anything on the lot they want to, or have Enterprise pick you up.

Whole deal seems a bit sus to me. Waiting for more evidence.

People just want to see failures. I've never understood the resentment to the next generations. I'm luke warm to 4th gen, but was excited to see 3rd gen die off.

 

They will be in violation of HIPPA federal laws if they divulge any patient records. They would have lawsluts coming their way and you would have the full force of the United States Government coming at you.
