Rented the biggest ladder I've ever had on top of the truck:

    IMG_4810.jpg

Swapped out two light fixtures, touched up some ceiling paint and cleaned off the "ledges" that collect dirt, dust and debris.

    IMG_4806.jpg

Did a "quick trip" to HomeGoods for a few items. New couch is coming this week and the old one went back this morning.

    IMG_4813.jpg

Ordered a zero clearance plate for cleaner cuts:

    IMG_4815.jpg

New vise mounted to the work table:

    IMG_4814.jpg

TL;DR - I was planning on using a removable mount that would have been mounted to the side of the table because the work table was going to be used with the yet to be made mitre cart to help with longer 2x4 cuts. But, the saw does not have full range of motion where it sits, currently so, the saw AND table would have to be moved around in order for the saw to have full range of motion. So a cart with fold up/out "wings" so it can be moved out into the 2 car bay for larger projects and cuts will be made. Once the RTT can be stored better, the cart can be left open and usable without having to move the cart into the garage space.

NTD day: some pocket hole clamps and some assorted p-clamps for various projects on the truck and around the house:

    IMG_4820.jpg

Got on some fish on Sunday afternoon; biggest was 1.5 lbs on a lipless. Tough day with the heat.

    IMG_4823.jpg

    Good weekend.

I may attempt the antenna base today if it's not too involved.

Final photo for those still following at home:

    Some life here..

    IMG_4985.jpg

Put some cheap $10 Amazon handles on the topper roof rack. The hardware that came with them didn't work, but, luckily, the hoarder in me had hardware that'll work for now:

    IMG_5043.jpg

I plan on balling out on some handles for the roof rack on the cab and change up the lighting, too. Need funds.

Now that most major projects are done for the home and accounts are recovering, we are pivoting to other, smaller projects that have been put on hold:

    - garage lighting; going to finally be hanging those up and hard wiring them in. I drew up a plan and I need a few things in order to complete that project (hoping for the next week or two).

    - garage organization; the cabinets I got from my buddy are good, but they take away space in that location leaving much to be desired. Going to be building some shelving off of the storage shelf I already did and leaving one cabinet there for now until the kitchen fridge is replaced and the kitchen fridge becomes the garage fridge.

    - mitre saw cart

    - garage air compressor

    - RTT cable and pulley system so it can be stored on the ceiling

    This weekend's plans:
    - general home and landscaping maintenance
    - painting 2 neighbor's mailbox posts
    - supply run for garage lighting project (?)
    - fishing (?) - it's been so hot and no rain has made it slow.....

    TL;DR - Can't stop, won't stop.

I learned how to remove these crappy stop valves.
And the plumbing supply store has them for $10 each, where as Amazon has 5 for $35. Hmmm

Wtf I've never seen those before. Those look like they're from 2002.

Speaking of Amazon, I ordered some more pigtails for hardwiring the T5 Barrina lights since they only bother to give you 2 per 6-pack and I need 6.

I also ordered some door lock retainer clips for my Leer 100r since the two closest to the cab are rusted out.

They are a super cheap version of sharkbites. House was built in 2013. Who knows why they were put in mine. Maybe because my house is "low income" yet I still had to wait for it to be built.

Side note, Im almost done with my personal goal - paying off this house. I owe less than a base manual 4th gen :anonymous:

Nice bro! Better than ours. Built in 2002 and it shows in a lot of places.

Same. We have two (two houses becoming one) but we need to sell one and get a bigger one for the front room and Christmas tree.

    Title change Friday :anonymous:

Felt fitting as it has mostly been home related with some smaller truck mods in between

Have a bit of a dilemma in the garage.

I need to get going on these shelves in the back in order to start working on getting the 3rd garage bay cleaned up and cleared out.

I am renting a neighbor's trailer this weekend for another project already (more on that later) and it will make acquiring the plywood sheets much, much easier.

    Plan A (current):

    - remove one cabinet, build 3 shelves and relocate the cabinet to the front of the garage along the wall where the truck lives.

    - keep the other cabinet as a placeholder for an eventual garage fridge. A few years out right now.

    IMG_0054.jpg

    Plan B

    - remove BOTH cabinets, build full width shelves, keep one cabinet and giveaway the other.

    IMG_0060.jpg

    Few things to note:

    1) need the storage space now; I want to open up the 3rd bay and get that going. Have a lot of things and can get rid of stuff but that can be done over time. Need the full space to get everything organized better.

    2) garage fridge; would be nice. Don't have it now. Would be 5 years down the road (conservative estimation).

    3) budget; needing to be somewhat cautious, now. If I go with 3 more shelves, my supplies list could be paired down a good bit.

The main reason for this is more substantial storage. Where the cabinets were sitting (shown above), you lose almost an entire foot with these cabinets:

    IMG_0055.jpg

    IMG_0056.jpg

    What would you guys do?

First picture, what's that jutting out at the back corner where you drew in the shelving?

Some sort of clean out is what my neighbor said last night when he was dropping off the trailer. Unfortunate location.

I plan on leaving it accessible and clear of screws (right @fatfurious2 ? ;))

Just wish it was located elsewhere.

Oh and I plan on going with 3 more full width shelves for optimum storage capabilities. I'll keep one cabinet and the other will probably go to the neighbor I borrowed the trailer from for this weekend.

I've been watching a lot of garage organization videos on YouTube this week which isn't good...still have a good ways to go.

Ideally elsewhere, but knowing that I reckon at least building shelves there wouldn't be a bad thing for that reason. Then maybe box out that piece.
