Just turned 65 on the 13th of May, Not sure about you guys but I thought growing old would take longer

 

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it goes faster and faster! Enjoy every minute you possibly can!
Oh and congratulations on making it to 65!

 

5/13/53 here. Age 71 was here before I knew it. The shittiest part is figuring out how many more potential years I have behind the wheel!

 

Cancer forced me to retire 7 years ago and I think I am more busy now than ever

 

I never thought I would make it this far. My Bone Cancer has no cure I have been off all treatments for almost 2 years now.

I sprayed almost a whole can of silicone spray down that conduit trying to pull the old cord out - with the new one attached. Took hours, a few inches at a pull. The 2800 engine has been good practice for exceedingly slow results! The new cable could not make the last 90*, and I got the fish out. These were my pulling "handles" for the old cable.

 

I used my own stem cells for a stem cell transplant in 2017. Then spent 5 years on monthly treatments. The cancer will come back slowly but right now I am holding my own. I’m going on 7 years. Only 35% of the people who get this make it past 5 years. F cancer

I survived mine, but it did me no favors.
Wife had lunch with a good friend who just spent two years dealing with breast cancer. Told the Doc back when she wanted a double. He said no. Yesterday, he said she was right.
