If you're traveling into remote areas without reliable cell service there's almost no excuse to not have an in reach or plb now

Almost had to hit the SOS on mine when I blew my ankle out on AZT but decided against it as self rescue was possible with moderate pain. The couple hunters I ran into and chatted with along the way out prob will never know how happy I was to stop and take a break lol.

Zoleo is another solid option...they use the same network (Iridium) and monitoring service as Garmin.

Even though I've never used it, my wife likes that I carry it. That's worth every penny

Ive never used mine for emergencies , but its good for changing plans or minor hiccups.

Its the difference between coming home after dark to someone pissed off or not

Yup on that trip I was able to message my wife who was following my tracking on the AZT to let her know what happened, I was OK and she didn't need to freak out about me not moving along the planned route

That's why I'm glad I could get it so I can sort out my drawer system in the next few weeks. We were at the asian market a couple weeks ago and my wife was frustrated about frozen stuff since it's like 25min home. She said if only we had a freezer in the 4Runner and with Memorial Day sales, I now have a freezer in the 4Runner.

I hope this isn't too off topic and I'm sure there are other posts regarding it, but do any of you have one of those adapters for Apple Car play that connects to the blue tooth so you don't have to plug the phone in all the time. Looking for recommendations.

Nope, not appropriate. Back to how to launch small children in to the back seat, whisky and vasectomies.

For you to be "off topic" this thread must bear some minimal resemblance to "topic" to begin with ...:bananadance::boom::drunk:

Every single one I’ve seen has the same reviews. Starts out ok, then connectivity issues out the ass. Not worth it imo.

Yeah and they all have the inherent delay that comes with even native Bluetooth Carplay/AA only worse. Installed it on a Friday and it didn't make it to Sunday.

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
Did you get out for the fishing trip? If so, welcome back to the heat dome!

To my understanding, the only worthwhile way to go wireless car play is to go with a different head unit - much because of what's already mentioned, so I won't repeat it. Definitely a targeted social media ad scheme for an over-priced hunk of junk.

Thanks all for your info on these devices. I think I'll just pass and keep using the wire.
