Well everyone, I got rid of the Tacoma.
    Tacoma.jpg

And acquired the best generation Tundra!

It has been a blast. I have learned so much from this community for the almost-decade I've been on these forums. I hope this Tundra will treat me as well as the Taco did! Cheers!

    Unsure if Friday or real.

But uh... Yeah. Change the oil on the tundra as soon as you get it, and maybe 1k miles after that lol.

Edit: nvm that doesn't look like the new gen tundra.

I wouldn't have said best generation if it was the new generation. The newest generation isn't up to par.

What on the post would have indicated that it was fake?

I thought it was a satire post regarding swapping to the new gen tundra "hoping it's as reliable as the Tacoma!"

    Which it isn't so...

Enjoy the new to you Tundra!

You will be a lot happier with room and power. I have several friends with Tundra's like that with several hundred thousand miles on them. Great trucks.

The cement grey is one of the best colors! I really enjoy the earthy matte tone colors; quicksand and lunar rock are also solid choices.

Agreed, the V8 is insanely powerful compared to the Tacoma. It's a significant difference and the additional cabin space is a great perk.

Yeah, and you will probably about break even on the fuel mileage with how your Tacoma was setup. Drives me crazy how under powered the 3rd gen is. Everyone makes excuses for it. My daily is a 2.7 Silverado with a turbo and though I expect to see the rods come through the hood at some point. It does not lack for power and is actually fun to drive.

Yup, pretty close! The Tacoma was getting around 15.4 and the Tundra has been getting around 15.1 AND it has a substantially larger tank so making the switch was a tremendous win! I get roughly the same mileage but now I can drive much further.

You bet! It's a 2021 with only 30K miles, carfax was clean and had maintenance records performed at every 5K interval at the dealership. The truck is in immaculate condition for its age and miles.

I owned a 2007 with the 5.7, purchased new. Sold after 16.5 years and 231k trouble free miles. Ran exactly like the day I drove it off the lot when I said goodbye. Burned zero oil, and later in life I went to 9k oil changes. Great truck.
