Too much weight is the main culprit. Get old and your metabolism slows, typically. My wife is about as thin as the day I met her.

    Good morning :pccoffee:

It is that time of year for fawns to drop. House is in the middle of whitetail bedding and nursery. Often ~30 yards away from the deck. Fresh out of the oven

This year was 15 yards from the deck, right on the edge of the yard, mom is giving me the stink eye LOL

    Such a cute little thing

Hope it grows up to have a nice rack...

Looked a little small so maybe Boo Boo
No he was haulin ass. Ran into a fence before crossing the road and dashed back into the trees. The noise the fence made was what got my attention. I thought maybe a deer or elk was jumping over and the rear legs hit the fence.
No pics. Camera is in the truck and I couldn’t grab my phone fast enough.
I had already be out walking and wandering around and was about to head out again to get some pics of sunset. Just glad he showed up when he did and not while I was outside the camper
    no, not sharing

You have my deepest empathy on that. I had sciaitica so bad about 10 years ago, I needed surgery, fused my L5-S1 vertebrae, and surgeon also reamed out some additional room in the intravertebral space, as I had stenosis in addition to blown discs.

Just got back from a morning coffee walk. Lots of deer and elk prints on the dirt road but not even a single bear track. I know why I heard it hit the fence though. It’s not barbed wire it’s that wire mesh stuff. Musta run head on into it first then jumped over. Also found a section of fence that’s mashed down a little bit. Thinking that’s the spot he crossed.

Sunny, 74°, a bit windy, outside playing with the Dawgs. COOKIE, now 14 weeks old, has her favorite toy. An empty 2 liter Pepsi bottle with a handful of marbles in it. Pure entertainment watching her.

she’d probably like the foraging toys that you hide kibble in and then bits fall out as she plays

yep . One down so far
And I heard there’s a white calf that was born this week. I’m betting the park service will take it to a sanctuary or zoo or something. Folks won’t be able to leave it alone

She likes Kong toys with cheese or peanut butter in em, or anything that makes noise. Her favorite is her big sisters tail. They love to brawl with each other. Sisters.

Afternoon everybody! I’m unattended for the weekend Mikala went up to blowing rock to visit her friend from high school. Clam chowder tonight and an almost 2lbs porterhouse tomorrow. I might do something stupid but I won’t starve!
