X2 but mine are black. i use them for everything outdoors including paintball they are over 15years old and still look new. when camping in the fall/winter i usually have two layers on underneath and they keep more than warm enough.

I got a pair of Columbia Titanium hiking pants from their outlet store for $30 and I love them. Good strong pants that dry quickly and can convert to shorts if you need to...

I've worn Old Navy khackis, Mountain Hardware, Exificio and numerous others but the best I've ever had and continue to wear is the PrAna Stetch Zion Pant. Lightweight, Water Repellent Fabric, roomy and enough pockets but not too many to make the pants look weird. I got mine for $70.

check sierra trading post for your other stuff... i got a badass deal on my Oakley ski jacket there. I think it is normally 300... got it for 175 or something like that. I was just on there and they have some nice Columbia's for a pretty good price and your base layer pretty cheap as well

    Nice looking pack!
Can never go wrong with Camelbak IMO. I've had my first camelback for 5+ years now, and I treat it like shit lol.

Actually looking for a Camelbak M.U.L.E. for lil day trips and to lash on my Osprey day pack for a lil more storage.

I just picked up a M.U.L.E. for mountain biking and hiking and their new quicklink bladder is sweet. 1/4 turn to close, quicklink hose. It's so much easier than their older versions. Just bought the insulated hose last night so my first sip isn't 90 degrees...

i was checking out their new bladders. I like them a lot! I need to pick one up. How well do those insulated hoses work? ever use one? I hate sipping that hot water in on those summer days in 100 degree 80% humidity heat. lol. It would also be nice for the winter when I backpack. I always have issues with the hose freezing.

That's why I got it. Haven't used it yet but anything is better than slurping 85 degree water before you get to the good, cold stuff. The other day I forgot to clear my tube from my last ride of two weeks prior and when I took a sip it was the closest I've come to yacking since 1993. Fargin' nasty...

:puke:can't say i haven't done that myself. i had a friend that had his camelback for so long and never took care of it, the tube and bladder was green inside!!! and HE STILL DRANK FROM IT!!! i saw it and immediately got him a new bladder just to keep me from wanting to spew chunks every time I saw him take a drink from it

The insulated hoses don't do much for keeping the heat out. I think the old neoprene one made it hotter -- especially being black.

They are more for the winter to keep your hose from freezing.

    A few bolts are different.
Question for those who have been to Moab. Is there any items that you can think of that you would suggest taking that you would maybe overlook on other hiking/camping trips? This is primarily camping beside the truck so I can take just about anything.
