On a side note, had someone come up and offer to buy my 3rd gen this morning. Now wondering if it was prompted by this thread and coming scarcity.

 

More likely a cherry picker. Had someone I know ask. When I stated what I expected, he clammed up really fast. Just someone who thought he could get something for nothing. But, that was my experience. Your dude probably was going to give you 65K cause everyone here knows it is better than the 4G Pro.
