I appreciate the answers. I'm a hard rock / metal guy. Pop / rap are not at all my thing, so clear, tight, punchy bass is really what I'm looking for. So, sounds like I'd be willing to spend the extra on the JL.

I have a focal 8 in my wife’s 4Runner. Great sub. But it’s not that punchy or deep. I have had Rockford 10s before and they definitely are punchy but not as crisp. I went with focal k2s for my mids etc as I do feel like they are great additions. I also listen to a lot of metalcore type of music and the tens are a great fit for that but also offer that deep I look for in rap

Did the rear in 3 hours taking my time. Hardest part was carrying the diff assembly. It's heavy lol. I'm also a mechanic but any DIYer can do it if they have the tools. Doing the front today.

It's a 285/75r16. I relocated the hoist and bent the factory spare holder tabs. Also chopped the exhaust up to the rear axle.

Oh, nice. Yeah, the front seems like the problematic one.

I would do a sealed box with either an 8" or 10".

Quoting my own post because I forgot to throw the Fumoto valve in.... I was cruising through the oil change and it started raining, so I rushed to finish. Grabbed the drain plug and finished up. Guess I'll wait another 5k.

That's the way to do it!

It's a bummer you felt rushed and put the oil pan bolt on instead of Fumoto.

But like you said, you'll get it on the next oil change.

Fumoto replacement of oil drain plug. Has a lever to open for oil flow that is controlled instead of gushing out. Also lets you take small oil samples if you feel the need to take them for analysis.

Motivx oil change tools include an adapter that grips the oil filter housing at a stronger point and more easily, including a tube that allows pre-draining the filter housing before removal for cleaner changes.
