Today was boat launching day. A tad on the windy side; 15-20 knots with higher gusts. Raising the mast was interesting. Kept the water on the outside of the boat and didn’t take a drink. Water was splashing over the bow on the ride out. Next time I go it’ll be complete the rigging by mounting the boom and sails. That can be done on the mooring.

 

You are coming over to my side. You do what’s necessary they aren’t always rising.

 

Swing emergers. Were they coming completely out at times? I’ve mistakenly caught them in a frenzy and fished nymphs below the action and dries above the action. Not realizing they were going after emergers in between.

 

It can be so frustrating at times but that’s what I love about it in a way and part of why I don’t really like going with a guide. It’s the puzzle the guide telling you how and tying flies on for you and saying there there there denies me my puzzle. And I will get home sometimes and read something or see something and the lights come on and then I realize that’s what they were doing. All I had to do was this just another piece of the puzzle.

 

Happy Saturday everyone. I got dragged to an art festival in downtown Frederick, MD today. It was OK for about the 1st hour, I was done after that. 2 hrs after that, we left.

I dropped into a boutique store of sorts, full of adult humor. I saw a few funny magnets

 

I believe I need to call for reinforcements!

 

The vet says he can’t save this one I might have cooked it too long!

 

I wonder how those would taste sitting around a fire next to the Madison

 

You know they would taste just a little bit better!!
