I've been in overtime since 10am. Just got out of work about 15mins ago. And I'm working tomorrow I'll soak up any ot hours they offer. Anywho hope everyone had a good day. O and I'm down 20lbs since I started this job. My goal is to get down to 200lbs.

 

Anyone going to the Beaver Falls Car Show tomorrow? Thinking about going, haven't been to it in a couple years but it looks like it's going to be the biggest yet.

Went and hit the snowshoe/moshannon trails. Pretty good time!

 

Need suggestions/advice. I’ve had my 2003 Tacoma for 10 years now, and it’s been good to me.

Typically every year I look over the frame and do the hammer test to check for weak points.

Unfortunately I found a 1/4” size hole in my frame by the leaf spring mount. I noticed a small divot, and it was soft when I poked at it.

Using a borescope I saw similar corrosion adjacent to the hole.

I need to go over the frame again to see if there are more weak spots, but to say I’m disappointed would be an understatement.

Does anyone have experience with shops in the Chester County area who do frame repair? I don’t want to call it quits yet on the truck, but I also am aware that if it’s bad there, it’s probably bad other places.

 

Do what now? Which generation tundra?

Can't like that. Fixing is cheaper that buying new. I remember seeing posts for gen 2 frame repair using something called " safe t cap" , maybe that company makes gen 1 kits ? Good luck Tom.

Edit: I did look up there web site and they make all kinds of kits for gen 1 , plus they have a list of installers by state and Pa has a lot listed out east and central.

Felt mighty chilly here this morning. Looking like the next 10 days is rain free. Guess it's going to be another drought this year. My grass is already crispy

 

Looked at 6 houses all were duds.

luckily Pittsburgh has plenty of rivers, might just get a van to live out of

 

Probably gotta move further East to get what ya want. I don't know how yous guys live anywhere close to the city.

 

If it was up to me I'd live in the middle of nowhere. Having no neighbors sounds great to me. Although I can't complain bout my neighbors I have now they are all great.

 

I live 17 miles from the city on the edge of Allegheny county , 17.5 miles is Washington County. I would save so much in taxes if I was outside Allegheny county.
