Looks like a good recipe. The bread my mom always made was much darker though. If I remember, I will see if I can find a recipe at home. And I think my mom had the right idea, I believe there are a ton of things that you can add, depending on your tastes.

 

That looks amazing! Thanks. We will definitely try it that if my zucchini plants survive. I may or may not have accidentally left my soaker hose on for 30 hours straight over the weekend

 

Honey Berries

 

More squash and zucchini. Has rained some every day since Sunday till today. Had a fair micro burst Wednesday eve and blew over some corn. Got most of if stood back up yesterday in dryer part of garden and the last dozen stalks this eve in the wetter section. Seems a yearly thing. Beans blooming now so gonna be sore back picking here in a couple weeks I think.

 

Need some hog fencing like @Barsoom i think has on his blackberries

It will work. Labor intensive, but it works much better than wire or anything else. And for the corn one layer 2 feet off the ground would be enough.

 

I guess this is step 1? Dried some and ran it through a coffee grinder.

 

Na, would take more effort than it does to stand it back up and complain.

Damn birds got twice as many Blackberries as I did.

 

If you have a wooden frame for the trellise, you can throw bird net over it.

 

Caught up on some on yard work this morning, while it was cool. Kids picked blueberries. Looks like have enough for a double batch of Lemonade jam.


Picked the last of radishes. The large ones will be baked with olive oil, salt and pepper.


Another 2 weeks and we'll be making rosehip jam.

 

Red blueberries? I need to google this.

 

Lemonade blueberries. I got one bush 10 years ago, and I wish I had bought more, have not seen them since. Berries have a hint of cranberries. This year we have enough to make lemonade jam. Looking forward to it.

 

Had some friends over and one of them brought me some zucchini from his garden….zucchini bread is in my future
