Awesome, thank you! I’m in the same spot you are with not wheeling it hard enough or often enough to just disconnect it. The Tacoma is my daily driver on a 50 mile round trip commute for work. The last time I took the Tacoma off road I was shocked at how little travel it had and that I got quite a bit of time on 3 wheels. Also I liked the install video.

Side note, how do you like the ICON tools? I use them at work and they keep up with the tool truck tools and I haven’t had any issues but nobody I know uses them because they come from HF.

Got ahold of some 285/70/r17 Wildpeak AT3s about 8mm of tread left with 5 rims (-12 offset) off marketplace for $400. Made it to discount tire before they closed to get them balanced and didn’t charge me anything! Slapped them on immediately to check for rubbing. Very big upgrade from the stock OEM 16s and 245s. Also blacked out the badges.

2018 4x4 SR5 with Toyota TRD Pro lift kit.

Thank you! And honestly I love them for hand tools, I mean I wrench a few times a week so it's not like I'm beating the snot out of them daily. But for me they work great and are a good value between quality and price! I'm not surprised they hold up to daily use, they're almost identical to anything the tool truck brands make.

Yep that’s what I’ve found, working on planes can test these hand tools and I haven’t broken any yet. Just picked up a set to put in my truck now that I trust them a little more and would be way less upset than losing a snap on tool.

Because I didn't want it to break and be up shits creek. I'm used to regular metal filters. Where the whole thing is replaceable.

Finally changed the original OEM battery to one from Costco after 5 years 108k miles. It was still running but I felt like better to do it now than wait any longer

My first gen was dark red. I liked that color... Honestly red and black were tied for the 2 colors I wanted least. Got stuck with black and I'm actually happy I did.

I was set on the "Cement" color, but also an AC and MT. 'Salesman called me down to drive a Barca Red unit he had just got in. I told him on the phone. "The color will be a show stopper for any sale"

I drove the red truck home that day, and now I sort of like it/

But I live a mile off pavement, and our raod mud and dust is a perfect match to that Toyota "Cement"! ;-)

Was talking about that with my wife today. Every vehicle I have owned has been red, until I got my black Tacoma in 2018. It was on the lot, and was a manual access Off-road, so I jumped on it. Decided I liked black, and so when I “ordered” my 2022, and it even had a black bumper, I was sold.
Yes, you wind up washing them a lot, but there are worse ways to spend a hour…and as they say, “once you go Midnight, you’ll never go back.”

I've got a black Audi A4. This past two weeks of tree pollen has been brutal!

Hard to beat black when it's clean and shiny, but that doesn't usually last long. My 2nd gen was black, my 3rd gen is Cement, which hides dirt great. Even the pollen doesn't look too bad on it. Kinda gives it a Lunar Rock vibe.
