What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I mean ... ANY color Tacoma can be made to look awesome. I might have asked for red if I saw this pic..

Price dictated my choice of truck. White was my preferred color.

 

You guys are like looters in a McDonalds with those raptor lights jeez. Just slammed through 6 pages and over half the tacos in here got em.

 

Not me, I refuse to put those dinosaur lights on my truck.

 

I wash mine about once every 3-4 months.

I've embraced the fact that it actually looks good when it's nice and dirty. Your right, after owning metallic black I really wouldn't want any other color now... Funny how that happened.

Mine is Barca Red, AC,Sport, gray Softopper, 5 degree sliders, front receiver hitch, zero offset American Racing wheels on stock sized snows in winter.

I think I have done a proper wash of it maybe three times.

Presently working on mounting Thule TracOne rack to clear the ST.

Maybe I shouldn't get a pic......;-)

 

Anyone have a thule rack on a double cab with a midrise? I know it’s a lot but debating on what kind of roof rack

 

I suspect you meant RED is the CORRECT color because WHITE is the best. I know, it seems so plain and simple but with WHITE you have the feature of it flaking off and exposing the olive green undercoating in ever surprising patterns and locations.

Not bad at all. We had it installed I a few hours. We ran the power wire up the driver side and the RCA's and remote wire up the passenger side. I have a Sony HU so hooking it up was simple.

 

On the refill did you do the trans temp fill process?

Just making sure you didn’t measure what came out, and matched incase it was under filled previously or at factory if first drain.

 

It's amazing that you were able to get that many years/miles out of the original. I hope to do the same in 4 years. Costco Interstates are a good deal.

 

I'm trying to build up a good base coat of wax on my new to me '22, so Sunday I washed and put on a second coat of Turtle wax Pro Flex hybrid Graphene.

I also got some suction cups for a microfiber towel that I'm using for a sunshade. Keeps the sun out, and has multiple duties including a light blanket for a friend at an outdoor concert just this weekend.

 

I will never put raptor lights on mine either.

Rear is easy enough, but how'd the front go? Did you go with ECGS? I'm curious how they handle the core returns and what the return shipping runs.

 

I did this to my truck. Not a positive thing though. Currently on a long road trip with my wife. Caught a rock south of Denver on day 3 of 14 and now have a sweet crack across the windshield of my ‘22 Pro. Ohh well. I will get it fixed when we get back home.

 

Appreciate you checking! This was like my 3rd drain and fill. Still checked the overflow plug and used obd fusion app to check the temp. Going to have to drain and fill again soon, i was hoping to swap like 3 qt’s, not 1

A dozen of us WI folk went out and exercised our trucks yesterday. The place has an interesting background. It was once a compound occupied by sovereign citizens. They refused to pay taxes, fought the IRS for years claiming to be a church. They had live-fire tactical training events on the grounds, built shelters loaded with ammo into some of the hillsides. They threatened many of the locals and anyone that got too close to the property. Eventually they were taken down by the Dept of Natural Resources because they had moved several mobile homes onto the land and installed septic systems without a permit. When all was said and done, the land was given to the county, which didn't know what to do with it for years. Eventually, someone thought the land would be a great place for offroad trails and the county developed it into an offroad park/campground. Some of the trails are quite challenging.

 

The other day I test fit my heavy metal offroad bed bars with my softopper. These are the ones that are meant to fit over the softopper. I got the softopper and bars used on marketplace for 750 all in, which was a steal. Came with an extra set of softopper rails too. I test fit it with a kayak and its gonna work well!

 

I agree, white is the best, especially acexx cabs
