I grew up there in the 60s and 70s. Great time to be there.

Morning 2 after surgery. Lot more swelling, pain and tightness. Not going to be a good day. From what I have researched the 3rd and 4th day are the worst so I am hoping it doesn’t get too much worse. Going to try and get more sleep today and say off my feet. I will check back in tonight.

Hope the pain is short lived. It will be worth it in the end.

    @woodtickgreg you on a T100 or T120?

a disproportional # of my pals are on Bonnie’s. I get to run them every so often. Just curious.

The retro classics sure are having their moment.

She's a T120. Man I love this bike. It's perfect for me, a great do it all machine.

just a couple of things tbh
Been riding this bike a lot lately! Since I got the bike a few weeks back I've put it at 5200miles and I got it at 4200-4300 ya not crazy miles like most of you all but for me it's a lot in such a short time frame haha. We take the bike to any family dinner, get together, or just to get out of the house when it's nice and I've been commuting with it as long as it doesn't rain or chilly tbh. It's been a great little bike minus the seats they are getting worse haha.

it has been tbh! we use it a lot! i gave her multiple chances yesterday to choose the truck ( we were going to play mini golf with family) and it was a bit over an hour ride taking back roads to enjoy the ride instead of the boring highway. but after asking her to make sure a few times she said nah i wanna go on the bike lol. i do gotta be careful on how long we ride thou... her knees have issues and cut circulation off sometimes if they are held at a certain angle for a long time so we normally stop after like 40ish mins for food or something.

@Calamity_taco happy for you. Always a crap shoot when you get a new bike, so many variables to make it right. Seems like you nailed it, and at a good price. win win.

Passenger comfort can be a very big deal especially since you want her to be able to enjoy it as much as you do. I'm not super familiar with the Bolt so I'm not sure what options are available to you to make improvements on the ergonomics. When it comes to seats, be aware that most aftermarket seats are still just an off-the-shelf upgrade and may or may not really solve your issues. I've become a big fan of the true custom seat makers out there and the work they can do. I've had 2 seats built so far by Laam Custom seats.

    https://www.laamseats.com/

What I like is that he builds a seat using your stock seat pan but makes it to your specific needs. Downside is you must go without a seat for several weeks so I'd look for another stock seat to use as a donor for the build. Upside is he will ask a lot of questions of both you and her to make sure when it's done it will do exactly what you want.

yup overall her seat is comfy its just skinny and not the best for her. her knee issue will always be a thing tbh with how the footpegs are designed for the passenger. im not truly familar either haha i know its like the sportster basically but havent looked to much at seats since just off the shelf ones are around 400-500 on prices atm and havent had the extra funds to do it just yet with getting a new helmet building a new pc and registering the bike so no extra funds sadly lol.

ive heard you and another talk about them i do wonder if he does anything for my bike but unsure something id have to ask. ya id have to find another oem seat bucket and i do know of one bolt locally being parted out locally so might be able to snag the seat for cheap.

Hope everyone is doing well. Sounds like guys are getting decent weather to go ride.
Well morning of day three is exactly as expected. It’s sucks. lol. Well I know it can’t get worse unless something gets infected but I have been real good about keeping my mouth clean. I hope it doesn’t sound like I am complaining. I am just telling my experience which will be different for everyone. I know it will get better and be worth it in the end. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and well wishes. Have fun out there riding and be safe.

Was going to call you out as a whiny little bitch......:deadhorse: but.....

In all seriousness I wouldn't want to be dealing with what you're going through. I had an abscessed tooth once many years ago and it brought tears to my eyes so I can only imagine what you're dealing with. Feel free to vent here as much as necessary.

Oh and an update on my leg. lol it’s all healed up. I really don’t know what happened to it as far as injury but damn it hurt bad when it happened. All the pain is gone and I can squat again. Oh and I still haven’t had any anxiety since I quit smoking weed. So there is some good news!!! Need to stay positive!!

Alright, ordered! Now I need some better looking mirrors. Cant stand the ugly round ones. @spencermarkd did you say the Navi ones worked with a little adjustment?
