I’m sure this has been covered but here i go.
Looking at putting 17x9-12 wheels with 33/12.5 tires, am I going to rub on suspension?

    Itz JDM tyte, yo!
I even rub with a more conservative setup (17x8.5 0 offset wheels and 265/70R17 tires) than your proposed setup and my truck is stock height

But, only when my suspension is compressed and I'm on full lock. It very rarely happens on the street, but it does happen when off-roading

I don't believe you will touch the suspension components but that tire will make sweet love to the fender, cab mount, pinch weld possibly front of the fender aswell.

Your looking at requiring a cab mount chop, pinch weld fold with a line/flare trim at the front and back of the wheel we'll. Then maybe.

More realistic is a 255/80r17 on a 0 offset will fit stock with minimal to no trimming

Are you asking why a person would put bigger wheels and tires on their truck?

33x12.5? is the wider tire for looks?
Wider tire with -12 offset will push your scrub angle out of wack and you WILL rub many places.

If you thoughts are wider is better for offroading , not sand running. check this out first before buying.

I’m not concerned about anything other than the OCA. I think with the -12 offset I’ll be good with 275-65-17
