I purchased my next mod today…

    :bananadance:

It will probably be a week or so until I have time to get it installed but I will post pics when I do. It’s something I was planning to do in a year or so, but I found a killer deal and couldn’t pass it up. Updates to come!

Well, it’s kind of done…I purchased it used from another TW member and I’m having issues with some of the hardware because he had to swap some of the original hardware out for different stuff. I have a new set of hardware from Goose Gear on the way and it should be good to go after that. The dogs should be much happier on long trips now.

I will also say that Goose Gear has phenomenal customer service and their products are top notch. Definitely a case of “you get what you pay for” with them!

I thought about that years ago but not sure that I would lose backseat for that platform since I carry people in backseat once a while such as dinner run, etc.

I like clip on seat then remove for platform then it would be great for me.

    Why thank you!

Yeah I never have anyone in the backseat so it was a no brainer for me when I saw a used one go up for sale. I’ve wanted to buy it for years but never wanted to spend the money.

    Great thread, awesome truck setup!

I’m kinda going for the same setup for my truck, just purchased a 21 TRD OR DCSB. I’m into backpacking so I drive a lot to different states for trails.

Where were you hiking in Quebec?

The seat delete is basically done. Just waiting on the new hardware from Goose Gear to make up for some missing pieces.

speaking of hardware from goose gear. when I got my deletes last year I was sent extra hardware sets, one was correct and two were not. the best was one for a subaru. well I hung on to them until today when I stopped and talked to the owner at expo pnw. he said they were having that issue it seemed. he laughed and said it was both sad and funny.

Interesting! You would think that for such an expensive item, they would send the right hardware.

I had one bolt snap off in the back of my truck and I had to get my neighbor to come over with a set of vice grip plyer things to rip it out.

A few of the other screws just don’t fit and some of the brackets that attach the seat delete decks together won’t line up, even though everything is lined up with the holes in the truck.

I have about 75% of the bolts screwed in, the rest don’t work. It certainly isn’t going anywhere and I could use it like this if I wanted but I’d rather have everything mounted properly.

The seat delete itself is extremely well built but I expected more from Goose Gear. They really need to provide instructions other than that short YouTube video (and better hardware).

At least the product itself is good, right? :pout:

They wanted $70 just for a new set of hardware. I placed the order over a week ago and it still hasn’t shipped so I cancelled that order and I’m going to try my luck finding some matching stuff at the hardware store.

I don’t think I would have purchased this if I knew it was going to be such a PITA. It does add a ton of functionality to the truck once it’s installed though.

Hope you find the right hardware.

What the holes on the wall under the window?

I believe those are just for mounting accessories, if that’s what you were asking.
