Swapped out a busted steering rack. I messed up the steering wheel alignment but otherwise was a pretty straightforward job.

Finally took my drop in bed liner out, expecting to find some rust and other goodies. Unfortunately, I wasn't surprised.

Replaced my exhaust. Old one had tons of pieces of my old cat in the muffler I couldn't shake out. Have a pretty rough exhaust leak at the join/clamp though. Makes it run really loud, going to try a different type of clamp tomorrow.

Gonna do bedliner, but have to deal with all that rust first.

I would recommend getting that joint welded. I've never had good luck with exhaust clamps anywhere in my exhaust system

    +1

Have the same exhaust, same clamp, it always leaks and rattles there

Feel like I tighten that joint monthly

Yup I was going to try one other band clamp then take the welder to it. Won't be pretty but it'll work.

Awesome, haven't seen that before, thanks for the tip! There's one spot I'll need to cut and patch up with a new piece of metal, but for the other surface rust this looks like the ticket.

This was last week but im in love!!! Sway-A-Way 2.5 Coilovers, JBA UCA's, Dakar CS019R Leaf Springs (no AAL), Greasable shackels.

Before the lift sitting on 5100's at middle setting with sagging coils and an AAL in the rear sagging leaf pack.

Just remove one of the leafs from the pack. That's a common thing to do with that leaf pack and honestly will ride better. You don't want these trucks super jacked up or they really ride bad.

@MAUIAUSTIN - I was thinking the same thing here. Also, we don't have great visibility in the front wheel well, but the UCA looks pretty far down, so I was also thinking you might remove some of the ride height in the front, just so you have a bit of down travel available for a nicer ride. Keep everything lifted, with the back end being a tad higher than the front, but just a bit less than you've got now.

Of course, I recognize that on HI, these tall lifts are the norm, often with drop brackets or huge blocks, so from that perspective, I think you're way ahead of the game, even though you might not have 6" of lift all the way around.

I will take some consideration into removing a leaf from the pack. i only intended for a maximum of 3" lift initially. As for the front, let me take some more pictures for you to see the uca angle now that its had a week to settle in. Do either of you have experience with this leaf pack OME CS019R and removing a leaf? ARB advised against removing a leaf even though i know there are people on here that have done it.

I haven't but @Speedytech7 did because they were so high on the early tacomas. It's very common and for good reason.

Perhaps more important than the UCA angle is your CV angle. But hey, include pictures of both, we all love pics!
