My girlfriend's Dad has a ocean (boat)rig that weighs about 4.5 tons (9k), and i was wondering if my Taco would be able to haul that thing with it?

Will it pull it? Probably. Will it like it? Not even a little bit...

Our towing capacity with the 4.0l and the towing pkg is 6500 lbs... it will do it, but you will get maybe 8mpg and I highly recommend keeping the speedo under 60

I honestly wouldn't... you're just asking for trouble IMO and your drivetrain nor you brakes are setup for that. You need a bigger rig for something like that. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

Yeah no. Are they going to pay for the repair costs when you bust something? Or the insurance/accident bills when you crash cause you overloaded your vehicle?

Tell them to fuck off and buy a diesel.

She would because she doesn't care if i do it or not, she respects my answer and my car. Because she loves my car herself.
