Ever wondered how much fun German automobile ownership is? Oh, do I have a story. My car wasn't on the lot long. No telling how long it sat at port or whatever. All that to say the windshield wipers on the car were driving me crazy. The were chattering and making all kinds of racket. I tried some cleaning methods, etc. No dice. Just wow. No big deal. I'll just get a new set. Rain-X? Nope. Trico? Nope. Valeo? Nope. Some googling and I find a set of PIAAs. Vendor website says they fit. Rock on! They arrive. Nope. Ain't gonna happen. Well, I'll just swap the rubber blade portion over. Nope. I look some more. One of the parts store chains says that Bosch makes some that fit. Well, I've been here before! Check the Bosch website and they say they fit, too. Cool. Nope they don't.

I refuse to purchase another set of OEM. Why buy more garbage? I look around some more, and some sites say "these Bosch work." More looking and come to find out, they aren't sold in the U.S. That makes zero sense. I can find them on a couple of sites in the UK. How is this going to work for the future??

It's not like the car is brand new. It's been here since 2022. It's been overseas since 2021 or possibly 2020. The wiper arm is a new one on me. Why Audi changed it, is beyond me. I guess the older design they've been using for years wasn't complicated enough.

This is why I never buy German luxury vehicles.

FWIW, I’ll be in London next week. If you want to have them mailed to where we’re staying, I can bring them back with me.

    I can't help myself.

Man, wish I had remembered you were going to be there. I ordered some from the UK already. But if you happen by a parts store, I have a Bosch part number!

A bit late to the game, but this brand was really pushed when I was in the LR. Even though some swore by them, I never did try them out.

Darn. They list the car, but the sizes are wrong. Ah well.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
Probably not going to make it. Have to work till 3 and again Sunday. And Tessa is recovering from a digestive tract issue. She's on a bland diet until tomorrow and then we can start blending her regular food over the 4-5 days. And still waiting for the effing post office to deliver a repair part for the tent. It's been sitting in NJ for three days.

That's what I'd want to see. How many times you get it on two or three wheels!
