He's way to young for his back to hurt.

I’ve worked in TV for two years, lifting cases in and out of trucks and holding 40 pound cameras - my back already hurts.

I hope everyone in here is having a good week so far. I'm learning to exist with a constant state of high anxiety again... I had forgotten how shitty it feels.

Lol same, I am just trying to remember how to cope until I get through this tough time. I took a job with a super steep learning curve (semi unknowingly). The last guy left no information and no one from the association I work for has ever been to this site or knows how it operates. So I am just trying to get tasks done. It's unfun so far, lots of "needs" and almost no information.

My usage was 400 pierces per nozzle, and 800 pierces per electrode

The nozzle would be oblong, and the "chamfered opening" would be all fucked up

Now, on refrigerated air, this is how 400 pierces looks like

    20240528_142245.jpg

The chamfered opening is fully intact, and the hole is the same circular opening

I expect at least 600-800 pierces per nozzle now so a nice increase in consumable life

I need to cut more and go through multiple consumable sets to find my new average pierce count

I feel like once you get around it and work the bugs out, you'd establish a good foothold

Could pay you back in the long run

Reminds me of a meme I saw the other day

"When suddenly you become valuable at work"

I'm banking on that being right, it's a really weird situation for me. My predecessor here left for another agency, then for 3.5-4 months I guess the main campus tried to come up and administrate here in the interim but didn't have any luck and just ended up going to hiring. Thing is they hired me as IT Customer Support.... but I got saddled with a full sysadmin workload now. I'm not a sysadmin, at least not by professional standards or certification, so now I am having to on the fly DIY everything with what knowledge I have.

Yeah that sucks man. I have figured out how to eliminate stress from my life but work is one I still struggle to manage. I think it helped me to look at "what is the worst that can happen?". As I alluded to I cleaned my desk out and was ready to walk on my job last week. I had come to the realization that my life isn't dependent on this job, yes I need a job but it doesn't have to be this job. Life may look different if I lose/quit my job, but that doesn't mean it's actually worse. Maybe that can be something to help you. Otherwise there's always beer.
