Saw this out my window, which was interesting :

Lost a mudflap finally. It seems like this is loosing your first tooth.

Pat making sure those rocks understand who’s in charge. He mercilessly slammed this rock, all while not breaking eye contact with the tree on the left. That tree knew what was up after that beating.
    upload_2024-6-10_19-53-7.png
The above is a screen grab. If you wan’t to know what the video looked like, it was basically the Rick James “f*ck yo couch” Chapelle Show skit with a little of Wayne Brady mixed in. Nobody was in any doubt who owned that rock after Pat was done lol.

Unfortunately, Pat Scratch Fever is a thing, and it’s contagious. Not buffing out, past the galvanized coating lol.

An ent was responsible for this scratch! It was already dead, but it’s tendrils grabbed me from out of the grave (I turned too close into a rootball).

It was so pissed off at being dead that it reached out it’s sharp tendrils and tried to destroy the nearest target!

Although, I’m not sure if I should put it under the regular pillow or my camp pillow.

either that, or it means I need to get a rear bumper with a swingout…just to be sure.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Guilty. I needed to gauge other people’s reactions so I could figure out how sad I should react.

Now I just look at it as opportunity to learn body work.

I opted to not get a swing-out as I read more than a few instances of rattling, creaking, and squeaking. Some took a couple of years to start rattling, but jostling around on the rear hatch for a bit will eventually loosen and wear the components. Listening to that would drive me bonkers. After I've had my bumper for a while now, I wish I would have checked to see how difficult it was to remove the swing-out, and then install it ( if easily done ) only when I go wheelin'.

I don't know about you guys but every time I take my truck out for some shenanigans it rides better on the road.
Something about pounding (exercising) that suspension and stretching things out. Or maybe it's all mental. o_O

IIRC, I've seen a swing-out that could be removed in minutes by pulling a hitch pin and lifting out the pin that attaches the swing-out to the bumper. Could be worth looking into.

I'd be in the same boat if I was looking at rear bumpers. I like the idea of getting the spare out from underneath. But, I don't really want a swing-out in the way of the hatch all the time.

See this bears some scientific investigation. Someone should get a swing out and then we can time how long it takes for it to start rattling and then the rest of us will know :D

I notice the same thing on the 4runner. Also, the extra weight on board seems to make it happy on the road. Took my time driving back home yesterday, because I wanted to take every bumpy/rolling back road before getting on a highway.

I took back roads the whole way.

Stopped to fish near Coloma, which was funny. I decided not to put in the kayak right away because someone else had just dropped in a small boat when I arrived, and I figured he'd probably be going where I was going to go. He ended up fishing all around the bay the launch is in, and I never saw him catch anything. Meanwhile, I caught 6 bass fishing from the launch.
