Oh I want one. Tell me that’s not worth 70k. ;-) ….Show time is when they finally hit the lot, though.

There are a few red Sports sprinkled across the US. Not many though. I just did a cursory check using cars.com.

That supersonic red is awesome, for sure. I'm eyeing a blue crush. But I'd take the red in a heartbeat.

I parked next to a blue crush 2023 at Home Depot this morning. That color is bad ass. Looked terrific in the sun.

The dealer is doing a mandatory ceramic coat on it (on all of their vehicles it appears). At first I scoffed, but I'm horrible about washing my rides. That might actually be a good thing for me to have with a color like that.

Damn right Toyota is pushing the margins, just like every other global company is. You think the “more complicated engine and better transmission” are necessarily better? I'd venture to say they’re most certainly, at least on paper, going to be cheaper to build. Of course now somebody has to pay for all the recalls, right? It sure in the hell isn’t going to be the significant shareholders at Toyota, right? Now as for the “cheap mexican labor”; I’m willing to bet a taco that Mexico’s ruling class owns a significant stake in ‘Toyota Manufacturing De Mexico Inc.’, they ain’t giving away shit.

Like it or not, you’re paying global prices for your new or used ride.

I recently received a message from a dealer I have dealt with, though did not buy truck there, that they are interested in buying my truck if thinking of trading it in…blah blah….It is a 2010 2wd ?
They must be desperate to move ‘at least something’ to want a 14 year old 2wd?
    Regardless of what they offered…..!!!!

Pfff…salesman would probably keep it and drive it another 20 years!! off

Could be worse. I'm leaning toward a Solar Octane Sport 4x4, with a 6 ft bed. I may have to go with my fallback color of Celestial Silver, lol

I had a Timberline Green Mica 2009. That is still my favorite color. Another one that may never come back

I just checked the Carvana offer for my Tundra and It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The depreciation wasn't as minimal as is typical for Tacomas and many Toyotas but instead was about what I'd expect for any of the Big 3 trucks with similar vintage and mileage. Now, would they complete the deal if I agreed to accept it? Who knows.... and I won't try, anyway.

They don’t want your truck. Those emails are written by an AI algorithm, and formerly they were form letters with names from a list added in by some intern in the marketing department. They just want you on the lot to look at new trucks and if they have to act like they want to buy your old truck to make that happen they will.

The Toyota dealership in my area, Rodland, is overflowing with brand new Tundras and Tacomas.

I'm shocked the sales numbers are reportedly that high, because there's a surprising number of new Toyota trucks just sitting on the lot, collecting dust. Even the new Tacoma.

Anyone in the Seattle area can drive by and see for themselves.

My 2016 also had no issues, and I had 90,000 miles.

I would like to think that the issue is being blown out of proportion but my daughter works on a Lexus sales floor and the GX that shares the same engine as the Tundra are coming back in droves to dealerships riddled with problems. Isn't the new Tacoma engine only new in the Tacoma? It's been used in some other cars?
