Also note i didnt have time to install the front diff drop yet, therefore the steep cv angles. will update photos in the thread i linked above tomorrow when its light out! Thank you for the insight and please feel free to let me know if you think any of my angles still look to steep after i update those photos!

Diff drop only lowers the front mounts. So it effectively angles the diff forward which changes the driveline angle more so than the CV angles. They don't really help with CV's at all.

From the photos in your thread, I'd be dropping the coil overs a bit and removing a leaf form the pack. Plus looking for some 10'' 5125's or similar.

Noted, Ive read from a few people who dont beleive in the diff drop being beneficial. I think im only hisitant because i slaved over getting this lift installed on my own for a day and a half. Good thing is the front adjustment should be a breeze with the Sway-a-way coilovers!

Yeah definitely made the right call getting adjustable coilovers.

And it's a process. But still fun and getting to tinker is half the fun!

Thanks Monte! I agree it was a great learning process for me and i did have great satisfaction in not having to pay someone just to have to do this adjustments later and not know whats going on...

Installed this Milwaukee Headlamp into the rear view mirror mounting cover using 3M double faced tape (because too much light, like horsepower and ammo, is just enough).

There's probably an OE overhead lamp housing, but until I figure that out and source the parts, this will do. :)

I believe the mirror is a Nissan version which I really like auto dimming, Homelink and Temp/Compass.

Does your SR5 have oil pressure and voltmeter gauges in the instrument cluster? I'd really like to have those gauges in my cluster.

None of the Tacomas have ever had those gauges, only pre-taco SR5s did unfortunately

I ran a CS019 pack with 2 leafs removed for a long time when I had 31s on and didn't need much lift. I pulled a middle leaf (The 3rd one IIRC) and the lowest Overload leaf. Worked perfectly. I recently reinstalled the 3rd Leaf due to adding weight to the back. Still without that Overload to drop 3/4 of lift of the pack.
The center pin does get long as you remove leafs and you will either have to cut it or drill out the bumpstop to fit it.
I have an Old Photo of it at full compression but you can see its missing the lowest overload and the 3rd leaf.
I ran it like this for 4 years and 25K miles without issue.

Getting to be time for some new shoes. I forgot exactly how much I hate sandblasting with crappy equipment (which is the only kind I've ever used). Moving from the 5-spoke 16x7 T4R wheels to some 17x7.5 Sequioa wheels for a bit more choice in tire.

Thanks for the info and photos! are you certain that photo had both leaves removed though? im Pretty sure the cs019r leaf pack has 6 leafs. 3regular and 3 overlaod leafs. Im counting 5 leafs in the flexing pick so one leaf is definitely removed! Thanks

My bad I just realized I am on a CS016R Pack being a 98 with the longer leafs.
The results will apply on those packs though. You can remove leafs. ARB tells you not to likely to just make sure the Load carrying ability isn't reduced.
Mine is a 5 Leaf pack with 2 Overloads. 1 still being removed. But on yours I would pull an overload if you want to just reduce height. Or if you want a slightly smoother ride will the 2nd Regular leaf. So that you retain the leaf holders.

I think that if I had a white or black truck, I'd keep the wheels the nice army green of the primer. Now for tires. I think I'll go with Kenda Klevers this time.

Thought about it this time (even though I said I'd never go 35s). I think my next set will likely be 35s. Or at least 34s. I want to do the tubbing at Zane's mostly for moral support (and if he'll have me), and my work there seems to happen in the winter.

It's called "shit poop brown", get it right.

I'll have you whenever you want, I have a big enough sheet of steel left over from that project on mine still. I bought a 4'x4' for some reason. That falls firmly in the weekend job realm, it was nerve wracking but ultimately easy. Making the fiberglass fenders fit was a harder job by far
