    100% @BkerChuck

    @2ski4life7 I mentioned it before but didn't send a link.. can't recommend this kit enough: https://www.randakks.com/honda-dohc...orcycle=Honda/CB750 DOHC/CB750K 750 Four/1981

You might be able to find the other parts you're missing here: https://www.vintagecb750.com/products/6/fuel-system/113/carb-floats-other-carb-components

Definitely a lot of parts to keep track of, but bag and tag and it wasn't too bad.

5.5K is before the taxes and dealer bullshit. That's usually $1500 or more on top of the MSRP. There is a dealer a few hours away that sells at MSRP plus $189 dealer fee. So if buying new....I'm driving a few hours

When I did my CB400F back around 2011 a local Honda shop told me they were using Keyster kits on their older bikes so that's what I used.

    https://www.keyster.ca/

When I ordered mine they came with new needles and seats and all new jets eliminating the need to fool with trying to clean out the old ones. Sizes were all a dead on match for the original parts.

That looked interesting right up until I found pricing on it. For less money I'd look into a 7x16 enclosed cargo trailer with ramp rear door and extra height so you can stand up inside and build it out to make my own toy hauler. There are several threads on ADVRder.com of folks who have done just that and came in well under the price of that Forest River and likely with as good or better quality.

Morning day 5 after surgery. Morning time is the worst pain. Woke up on the right side of my face so that was super sore for an hour or so. All in all things are getting better. Less pressure and gums are less sore. It’s like being sick where you feel like crap in the morning then seem to feel better throughout the day then night time sucks again. Some of the stitches have come out which feels amazing. Still a lot left but getting used to it. It will be nice once they are all out.

Yeah, saw that, but the bigass gaping hold he showed a picture of isn't an overflow. My assumption was that was where the leak was but he doesn't specifically say so nor where it's leaking from, so it's still anyones guess. If he has them apart might as well rebuild with proper new seals and parts.

If I'm looking at this correctly that large hole looks like where the fuel tubes locate between the carb bodies. Something like that doesn't just fall out. Makes me wonder if a PO didn't break one and possible just stuck in an incorrect piece of tubing or something? Just throwing that out as an idea.

$3500 for a 19 year old beat dirt bike?!?! That thing looks rode hard and put away wet. I sold a clean 2016 CRF450 with 40 hours on it for $4500 just last year.

now this is a purchase I can't endorse lol. price seems way too steep.

lol that's a hell of a combo. wonder if that minibike is still usable...says never run

Doesn't sound too bad, glad you and the bike are okay, keep an eye on that wrist though and take it easy. so many little bones and tendons in there.

I'm sick right now so I know exactly what you mean as far as mornings and nights being worse. Glad to hear it's going smoothly though

Are you talking about this hole? I don't believe I saw any fuel ever come out of this.

    upload_2024-6-12_10-33-57.png

I was more concerned about this gap if you can see it. It has some hose on one side but nothing attaches to the other side. On the other carbs the hose connects to both.
    upload_2024-6-12_10-35-18.png

My trouble has been finding a suitable shop to work on these. They all ghost me haha. Seems there too busy and don't want to deal with old bikes. I might send them by mail to someone that looks to do good work and he has the choke springs I am missing.

The carbs were working fine for me for 400 or so miles. I let the bike sit a few months and when I'd turn the fuel petcock on, it would leak over a cup full of gas or more. I didn't see any fuel coming from the lower overflow nozzles.

VintageCB750 looks to sell everything I'd need but I think I am missing some parts now. Im fairly mechanically inclined just haven't worked on carbs much. And Im trying to stomach paying $500 to have these rebuilt vs me doing it myself.

I guess I should hook up a fuel source and see where it is leaking from off the bike.
