Trail Run - Turkey Creek 5/17

Looks like June 15th will be the trail date.

I think I found a camp spot for Friday night (June 14th) need to find something for Saturday night around Jerome. If anyone knows a good spot let me know.

I will update the first post soon with more detail.

Looks to be a few clearings along that road that could work. We'll just pick a spot in the area.

 

Having just been around that area for a few weeks, definitely get up and into Mingus for that first campsite. It's going to be hot everywhere else (i.e. on the 'downhill' side of Jerome).

 

Just remember the I-17 will be closed around the 303 this weekend. SMH, I hate how this state does road work... Hey all, its getting hotter outside and school is letting out, perfect time for day time road construction...

 

I would be pissed if I was on the road construction crew. I would much prefer midnight shifts working on black asphalt. Maybe thats just me tho.

 

Same! Do that work on a night shift during the week, not the weekends when everyone plus 1 is on the road trying to go somewhere.

 

Especially I-17. But ohwell not my monkeys not my circus. I very rarely ever find myself over there.

 

Lurking around for this trip! The rig needs a good look over before I get it going. It sits a bit as my new drive to work is literally across the street.

 

It's not a jeep. Just Gas it up and go.

Yeah unfortunately out for day trip. Waiting on new longer bolts for my bed platform and not quite secure enough to have it flop around wheeling yet.

I pinned a spot for Friday night camp but may not end up in that exact spot so keep on the look out while on FR 9626A

If someone has a better camp spot let me know, I just went off what @OnePuttBlunder recommended

I’m trying to convince my special lady friend too, should have confirmation shortly.

 

I'm leaning towards camping Friday. A little worried about the one long rocky section with my open diffs if its just two trucks though.
