Fyi, if you have the tss radar sensors in the rear you will need the painted caps and not the chrome like the one you posted. Can confirm the chromed will shield the sensor.

For those of you you haven't been paying attention, I've decided to update my build thread after 3 years. You know I had one, right?

^The black stamped steel brackets (which link up with the plastic bumper cover and fender splash guard) are shaped differently and located at different spots. This is going by memory when I sold mine (one of each) 4 years ago.

Ah you think modifications are your ally? You merely adopted the mods. I was born to do them, molded by them. I didn't see a stock truck until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but a blank canvas

question for the experts: i have a 3yr old leaking stock 3rd gen steering rack taking up space in my garage... is it worth rebuilding for a spare or for someone else to use... or is the cost of a rebuild kit and the hassle to do it make it not worth doing versus getting an aftermarket or OEM reman one? after some quick investigation it seems like its not worth it...

i upgraded to the Tundra rack so if i ever blew that rack (which sounds like a challenge), the rebuilt spare would just be a temporary measure while i rebuilt the Tundra rack.

it's a junk now, rebuilding Tacoma rack is 10x harder vs Tundra by design. Keep it as a spare for when the time comes, I m still doing fine with my tundra rack and it's been close to 100K now :fingerscrossed:

Lots of brittle plastic tabs, I skipped that step and just did floor and doors

Hi guys, does anyone know a shop the can unbend a truck frame for not too much money?
The front hook anchor point hit a rock and twisted the frame in that area. So I can't bolt the skid plate in that area anymore.

I was advised to not put the hook back anymore since it's lies too low and it's very exposed

    Tks in advance

Only thing I can add onto this when I did the whole interior; doors made a HUGE difference. Floor and roof not as big of a difference.

Time to DIY, I don't think there are places that have those frame racks here.

Home Made car body frame machine, Frame rack, Collision Repair Equipment, Universal DIY Jig (youtube.com)

    Step 4:
and bend the plate into it's new home! or drill new hole so bolt fits

My issue is the frame, not the skid plate

I need to untwist the frame. Skid is brand new
