    Can you figure it out!

    2009 Tacoma 4 cylinder 2TR-FE, A340E automatic transmission, 116000 miles.
At 2000 rpm and over an annoying hum happens, drivetrain seems sound, hum only occurs during acceleration.

Could it be an exhaust leak? Transmission glitch?

No video, happens when depressing gas pedal - if foot is off pedal noise stops. its not real loud but it is real annoying. might not be able to record it it unless i hang onto the bottom of the truck with my phone while my wife drives around 40 - 50 mph on the highway, she might enjoy it - me - not so much.

Could be a bearing in your alternator, power steering pump or idler pulley. If it occurs over 2000 at a standstill pull your belt and see if it goes away.

I’ll put a blue chip on alternator bearing. If it’s not that or something connected to the belt…let’s hope it’s NOT the transmission.

Noise from the intake tract? Do you have the stock air filter and housing?
