I like the added material that is under the drivers foot. Not that it’s needed but seems like it would be a nice touch.

Exactly, probably feels like the heel isn't wearing through any day soon.

I'm likin the windshield shade ETBA has. I bought ones like that for all our vehicles here in South Florida, flippin UVA is off the charts. I think the shades were through "Covercraft".

I bought the weathertech set for my truck. I got the full vehicle kit and love it. Granted here in Washington state it’s not needed as often as Florida, I usually put them in when I’m camping and have the tent set up so I’m not driving the truck. I noticed it really keeps the temp down and it’s tight fitting so blacks out the cab pretty good.

Just a friendly reminder that this is a what did you do to your Tacoma thread and not what do dislike what others are doing to their Tacomas thread. If you don’t like a mod that’s fine, no need to make a big deal about it. Live and let live. Let’s keep this place positive. There’s enough haters in the world already. The least we can do is support each other in our passion for our trucks.

The heel area was what made me pull the trigger on the husky’s. I’ve never liked how rigid the weathertechs were, but appreciated the coverage. We’ll see how they hold up over time.

And regarding the covercraft window shade. One of the best investments I’ve made for the truck. The Texas sun can be brutal, especially when the truck is in a parking lot all day.
I have had the weathertech as well. I like the folding design of the covercraft to the roll up of the weathertech personally. They are both great options though.

LOL, been here 40 years in FL and I cant remember NOT having something blocking the sun from beaming rays through that windshield. My 4Runner and new Tacoma dash and front stay protected from rot and melting.

Been buying those thick multi-layered foldable sunshades for years, for mine and family members. Great Christmas gifts.

Absolutely the roll up feature isn’t great for storage space really. I kept them in the back for awhile but once the winter hit they went in the garage.

Has anyone ever suggested that you are perhaps a little bit predictable? :p

I bought the same thing a year ago. Now I am thinking about weathertech's floor mats since they are a lot easier to remove and clean.

Tagged a deer last Thursday evening; then had my wheel explode on the drive back 5 days later. Lucky for me none of it caused what I consider serious damage. Surprisingly the headlight and fog still work besides the DRL/turn signal. Hood and grill are intact. More bummed about the door damage than anything, but it looks like the slider gave me some protection (not a scratch on it from the deer so that must’ve felt great to bounce off at 70mph). Able to straighten the lower bedside from the wheel carnage with a good yank. Came out pretty well if you ask me (last 2 pics). Shock, abs sensor, and brake lines all survived somehow.

Guys at Les Schwab in Baker City are great btw, had the wheel fixed in a couple hours before I had to check out of the motel. Then another 350mi before getting home. Now just gotta deal with insurance for the deer…oh joy

I guess it’s time for some new armor and a wheel/tire update lol.

    Damn!

What wheels, and how heavy are you loaded? They look like a truck wheel that should be rated for enough weight, but never know these days with all the companies coming out of nowhere.

Purchased Toyota Certified, with Vijay bumpers, additional lights, and Falken Wildpeaks on Fuel rims. Prev owner apparently painted the grill.
Dude. That was a heck of a trip! I'm sorry for all that damage. I hope insurance makes things right.

I ordered a TruCool LPD4454 for my rig today.
I have only a 5x10 Wells Cargo I would tow, if ever again.

But we have torrid summer heat in Sacramento, so I figure a cooler can't hurt.
Thanks to @gearcruncher for the recommendation.
