It is nice to see that the driver "doubled down" and also got the Vanity plate to match......I mean, if you are going to be "out there" then be "really out there" lol

Better than the presentation I had where we were told it was a work-life balance presentation and it was led by a woman who said the $400 planner she bought changed her life. She was there hawking some awful book she wrote. It was so bad we had a group chat going DURING the presentation mocking her. There was a weird religious undertone to it that felt inappropriate at work. I have zero issue with any religion, but given the audience and the content, it was uncomfortable.

    Happy belated @mach1man001 !

I got my truck back from the shop after two weeks. The end result was very okay. I'm a perfectionist by nature and it's not "received from Toyota in 2016 perfect" so I'm trying to temper my expectations. The paint match is as good as it was when the truck was new, the orange peel is dead on, etc. I got all OEM replacement panels including my Pro grille. There's just a few minor imperfections that aren't even enough to bring back but enough to irk me. I had some prior PDR done on my front fender that was about 98%, so of course when I am checking out the job all I see is the 2% of the PDR that wasn't perfect.

Oh well. Some time will pass and I won't even see it anymore. I'll spend some some more time looking at Subaru for sale ads. I wish I had family in CA, there's some perfect spec'd ones out there in my budget.

That whole work life balance can kiss my ass, especially when in the form of a sales pitch. It's how it should always be, but nowadays people try to act so fucking magnanimous like they're doing you some huge favour with it. I'll keep my mouth shut about religion except in PM but suffice to say it should never be brought into the workplace.

Or..take a trip to Cali and drive one back?

Arizona. No coast line. A lot of Cali trucks are near the coast. AZ, one way southwest flight and it's already like 7 hours closer to home than so cal.

But I've never thought about this before..... :spy:

I’ve given it some thought, but buying something sight unseen is a bit scary.

You just have to worry about how rough the paint and interior are.

I’m looking at 2019-2021 models so hopefully I can find something clean underneath to grab.

Black 2019-2021 STi Limited with Wing with the Recaro / Harmon-Kardon audio option. Maybe a bit of a unicorn but I’ve got the luxury of time to find a good one.

i bought my 911 sight unseen. Lots of pics ( including bottom on a lift), video and a PPI by a specialist. Don't let it be a deal breaker.

Yeah. They refreshed the car and did some mechanical upgrades in 2018. In 2019 they added CarPlay so that’s the first year I’ll consider. I think I like the 2020 wheels better as I’m not a huge fan of the dark wheels on the 2019, but I wouldn’t reject the right car.

The dream would be to find a set of S204 BBS REs and drop down to 18” wheels but those are $5,000+ a set and even I’m not that stupid.
