Strange noise please help!

Hello beautiful community, I have this range noises coming from the back and front tires of my Tacoma , I checked my brake pads and rotors look new. The sound is picking up with my tire rotations . But disappears at higher speeds. Yes my wheel bearings are good. And ujoints are brand new. The noise is coming from the wheels area.

Have you checked the wheel bearings lately?

You lifted the truck and spun the wheels by hand to see if you can duplicate the noise?

 

Yes I have done that it’s not actually making the noise for that . Maybe I’m not spinning them hard enough.

 

Does it sound different on the passenger side?

If you have 4 jack stands, you could try putting it in drive while in the air. Unless it's from the front and you have 2x4.

Even with 2x4 you could try pulling the wheels off while jacked up. Spin them with your hands and try to feel for any drag there may be.

 

it’s rear wheel drive Tacoma .

 

Pull the wheels off, and see if you can fee any friction when you spin them.

 

Maybe check for rubbing of the disc heat shields they are just sheet metal and can get easily bent during service. I would also check the brake pad anti-rattle clips as those can get cock-eyed and make noise.

 

I checked they seem good, but the rear drums are also making same noise with the front ones. It’s very strange that they have the same noise at the same coming from front and back.

 

Was the noise happening before you changed the ujoints?
New doesn't always mean good.

Are they greasable? was there grease in them?

 

They non grease ujoints. and no changed my ujoints months ago, and this noise is days old.

 

After rotating my tires once ..the balancing weights would hit my brake calipers causing a similar noise ...16x8 wheels 4.5 backspace

 

Update it came out to be my wheel covers lol
