Another Truck?! Third Time's the Charm TURBOCHARGED

When I asked about it they just said it wasn't something they do anymore. I think their Dyno was down for a while from one of their trucks exploding. It might be a different story if I asked in person with a box of pizza or beer, maybe mountain dew instead of beer because we are in Utah

 

Speaking of Power Driven. My dad just bought a turbo and intake from them for his 3rd Gen Cummins.

 

Pretty sure I blew out one of my rear shocks on the last trip, have some new seals on the way and I'll rebuild the lil guy. Good news is everything else seems happy, truck is running well and otherwise doing fine.

 

I was wondering if you had figured out what you wanted to do about that shock. Do you have a time frame for when you'll do the rebuild?

I am going to Dan's place tomorrow. We are going to take a look at the left front fender and door hinges on my truck. I think he is still using the nitrogen to 'tune' his new bumps. Another trip out to Tahuya is planned for this weekend.

 

I am coming over this weekend and would like to grab the Nitro kit if that is okay, but if you're still using it I guess it can wait until we get closer to the next trip

 

I am not certain how much more he will need it. If it is one more adjustment, maybe we can do that tomorrow.

 

If he still needs it my need isn't that urgent, just really didn't want to rebuild my shocks a day before a trip.

I'm still pretty confident BTW that I messed up the bushing position on your truck and that's why the back of the cab isn't inline with the bed either, so maybe don't mess with the hinges until you confirm that.

 

Yeah, I get that. Was this the only reason for coming to the wetside or will you come regardless? Lets find out his plans for the kit. I'll talk with him about it tomorrow. I don't know if he knows you need it.

On the driver side only? The passenger side seems correct. At least the door closes correctly.

OK. Lets see what his plans are and go from there.

 

We should be able to take off one of the two cab mounts and look for the identifying marks on the bushings right? For example, position #2 bushings should be marked #4243 and #4244. I missed that the first time. Probably because of that very poor copy of the instructions (attached) I had.

 

Yeah I am pretty sure I just transposed the two while i was laying stuff out.

 

Do you think we need to check both sides? Or just the driver side?

 

I'd check both, should be easy to do one then the other pretty quick

Yeah that was my first thought, that the mid and rear mounts got mixed up. I did that when I put my poly bushings in, but it was much worse alignment than Mike’s door. We can check it before messing with the door hinges.

Zane feel free to grab the nitro kit, if the hydros still don’t have enough pressure after this weekend’s testing I can wait for a while to screw with them more.

 

Are the bumps nitro only or is there some sort of valving tuning you can do with them as well. I feel like people don't run those at extremely high pressures because they bleed down and become a liability before long
