How do you like that canopy? I've been looking at them but see quite a few reviews about them buckling in a small breeze. But people are also dumb so who knows if they set them up properly...

@helix66 I did not do a lot of surfing on this trip. The focus was more on exploring.

What is that tent you have - and how do you like it?

I like my old coleman tent. I recently ran into someone else still using the same tent. (Do they make them like they used to??)

I've had it for a long time and it may not have so many trips left in it! I have a very nice back-up tent, but this is a somewhat of an Aussie 'budget' brand. It is a great tent as it stood up to some heavy rains down under, but the material quality is not the best I've seen in terms of durability...

So I am on the hunt now... Maybe I should post a thread on tents.

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
It's a Gazelle. I have one and I love it. If you can handle the size that it takes up when folded down, it's hard to beat.

Yup a gazelle I got on Amazon, it’s the 4-man version and for me it’s s bit too large…..I’d rather have the 3-man.

It works great and sets up/down super fast and packs like an ez-up so the packed length is probably still the same for the 2-3-4 person.
I think the prices went way up on them.

I used to use my tiny north face two man backpacking tent and it was way too small.

Baja trip look awesome, I’d be hard pressed to not have my surfboard or dirt bike!

I didn't notice that lol! They had signs up saying the diesel was unavailable during the remodel. This was probably a deterrent. I was questioning on my walk back how some old guy was pumping diesel despite the signs. I wonder what he got charged

Great pictures. I love the last one with your lights lighting up the sky. That is a great light. What is it?

That's a combination of the baja designs s2's in a flood pattern and the built in light on the awning.
