Good question, they’ve didn’t come up in consideration. Maybe they were upper end of the price range but I didn’t really have them as an option.

On the K02 topic…I never considered them because everyone seems to agree they’re terrible on wet roads. Plus with the K03 out, I feel like it would be worth waiting to see if they have better reviews in the rain.

I could be wrong though because I’ve never run them, just going based on reviews and such.

 

KO2 fella here. I've never had a wet road issue with mine, and I'm on my second pair since I bought my 16 in the summer of '20

 

See that’s why I get confused because there are a decent amount of people who say they’re fine in the rain. But I read so many reviews with people saying they’re “dangerous” and stuff on wet roads. Probably just people who don’t know how to drive in the rain.

 

That might have been why I didn’t look at them. The ones I did look at all had great wet road mannerisms and snow.

 

Yeah my vote is they don't know how to drive, I love mine. But KO3 you say?

 

Lol yeah they have been out for a while now. Not too many sizes yet but they’re slowly rolling out more sizes. They look legit!

I’m moving on from cooper st Maxx’s. I did check those out but wanted something a little more aggressive looking.

Afternoon gentlemen

Like clockwork, there was a crash on 70 westbound again today.

I'm gonna learn every single road into Washington County from Frederick.

 

I hear ya… most aggressive terrain I get is probably driving around the farm to get to the back of the ponds

I’ve had great luck with Coopers, on cars trucks and SUV’s… plus I wanted something with an E rating for hauling the boat around.

If I am going to throw my vote in the ring… I’m gonna guess you went with the Maxxis.

 

I had seen that on the way back from Clarksburg on my last run today around 1. Started to hit stop-n-go traffic at the 15 interchange. Looked like it was gonna be a mess! Add Friday rush hour to it… yuck! Maybe take 40 or Alt-40?

 

That’s another reason I didn’t want an overly aggressive tire… too much vibration and noise. Honestly will never understand the point of all these people with mud tires that never leave the asphalt. Most off-roading they see are the potholes at Walmart.

 

Yep. Alt 40 today. 40 last Friday.

Im at least planning on a trip to Rausch Creek this summer and hopefully AOAA in October.

my brother got remarried and just moved north of Philly so he won’t be heading to OC and Assateague Island with me anytime soon.

 

Im not big on OC any more… but a Delaware Beach meetup would be cool!! We can always run down to Assateague Island at the same time. Hit it up early in the off-season when rates are down, beaches are empty and we can drive on them, and it’s still in the 70’s during the day.

 

Sounds like it could be fun. Maybe we can get our resident expert party planner @TacoTime55 in on the action!
