They do look deep. I had a guy working for me who was loading stuff into the bed, and he scratched it. I was not happy. But you learn, there are so many people out there that aren't putting your vehicle on the priority list of things to be careful of. I would just say, mention it to the manager, but don't take it too far, and don't expect any compensation. I don't know if I would even mention it, would take too much of my time.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
If you left the store, it's too late. That had to be resolved before the truck moved.

I've got the full MotivX oil wrench and oil filter set that has the oil filter drain attachment + hose and new magnetic oil drain bolt with an assortment of new crush washers.

Is the Fumoto valve something else?

Not necessarily, if the employee scratched the truck in an area that is covered by CCTV, they will review footage to validate the employee did indeed scratch the truck & their general liability should cover the repair expense

A valve that replaces the drain bolt. It has a rotating lever that lets you leave it on, open just a little so you can line up the drain pan, then open for full flow. After drained, rotate back to re-close for another <you choose thousands> miles. Or you can drain a tiny bit if you are into taking samples for analysis (https://www.fumotousa.com)

Short nipple or long ... if you have skids it does not matter. Newer no-nipple ones drain faster than older models.

    Handy!

I haven't had the Taco that terribly long, but have yet to change my own oil, since it was under warranty.

I got lazy and still had the dealership change it after the warranty ran out, but now with an investment in LiquiMoly, I dont trust any mechanic to actually put it in without me watching.....
Paranoid? lol probably, but if you want it done right and all.....

Sure, the store most likely has cameras. What if someone was standing in front of the camera? What if it's a bad angle? There goes your roof, it's now on you. Why put yourself in that position?

New tires today, up to 285/75R16. It’s subtle but I feel like this should have been the factory setup.

OK, I'm saying management of a big corporate entity is going to tell you to prove it. It's his job to keep costs down. He owns the video. OP needs to learn that this kind of thing needs to be addressed immediately. There is very little goodwill in business when it comes down to costs. That's life's harsh reality.

While it's likely something that can be buffed out, the manager isn't going to open the store up to the possibility of a tailgate and paint job...because we've all seen the assholes that will turn a situation into that.

you're wrong here, they will take his information & statement & open up a general liability claim for investigation

I've been involved with this process with this company.

The OP has options & its not too late, though I wouldn't wait more than a day or two

Today was the 85K mile oil change! I continue to love the simplicity of the Havoline 6qt container. I know it’s not for everyone, but it works for me.

Nay, Eibach spring upgrade in the front and Stage 1 RXT leafs in the back. Roughly translates to about a 2” lift

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
Changing bed rails to accommodate both Softopper and Thule racks.
Made OK progress on the swap from steel to alu. IT was hot and muggy. so I move slow.
Lots more "fettling" to be done. The rack will be shortened to just over shark fin height. The rack pieces will be able to be positioned almost anywhere along the bed rail length.
Fun getting out the A&P tote box, It's been 40 years.....;-)setup.jpg
