On call until Monday morning. Here is to hoping that just because I am on call they don't call.

Storm knocked down a large tree in the yard and it is partially in the driveway. Was going to take the chainsaw out until I seen the total size of everything plus it just started raining. Called a tree service company they can handle it better than I. Maybe wisdom does come with age?
T Storms in the forecast everyday for the next 10 days. Supposed to take off Friday to go shooting and practice for the big 3 day shoot at the end of the month Sporting Clays and doubles grouse walk, 5 stand, pigeon ring and make a break. Just a thought, but standing in the open with a long steel object in my hands might not be the smartest thing to do in a lighting storm. Did that with a fly rod standing in a creek fishing. Once....

Good morning everyone! We had a heck of a storm come through last night, it seemed like it rained most of the night. I'm glad that I cut the lawn instead of playing with 30+ year old GM truck parts. I have a busy plan for the weekend, knocking out as many of the small jobs as possible. I'm aiming for Wednesday to stuff the replacement engine/trans back into the chassis.

Positive thoughts for you to find something else to focus on to help keep you moving forward! I think that talking about it is a help, at least you're not internalizing it.

How is your sail boat working?

This made me smile, as I had noticed a few people in Engineering debt wearing one on Fridays so I joined the club. Since the office/ cube relocation last month, I have to walk through the maintenance shop and across the production areas to get to the mezzanine, it gets the strangest looks and comments. I look forward to 4runner Fridays with the tackiest Hawaiian shirt from the collection.

 

@vssman You probably already explained it 4300 pages ago, but what is the story on the guitar in your signature? Very sweet looking guitar.

 

I have to mount the boom and place the sails. She’ll then be ready to go for the season. The winds should be light tomorrow so I was thinking of doing the work then. It’s on the mooring so I need small swells or else I’ll end up in the drink.

That was Rick’s guitar. His screen name was Unchained 5150. Took his life a few years ago.
