I hate it when people say harvested. I harvest my corn not what I hunt.

I don't think you read my posts. Quit bitching out to the pressure of the politically correct lobby and call it what it is.

We kill shit all the time. You don't harvest jerky from a deer, you kill that fucker, cut it up, and eat it.

Anyone who has a problem with those terms can stay vegan. But fuck them.

Meh. "Conservation" of species is a misguided endeavor anyway.

 

Same here in Oregon. And they occasionally become a threat to population as well.

Oh and bear tags are also issued.

I believe that conservation is the only way to maintain a healthy species for future generations to hunt. As a hunter, I harvest from the land; I use or eat what I take. Killing doesn't correctly describe it. I kill mosquito's and bugs.

 

My favorite hunting quote and exactly the mindset I have:

When something is alive and something else makes it dead, that's killin'. You can euphemize all you want, but that's all it is - pretend names to make things more palatable to others.

Eatin' it afterwards or not as the distinction...well, that's the difference between lunch and dinner.

Seems like the dogs do all the hunting and all that is left for the hunter to do in this case is pull the trigger .
